been occuring for about 15 minutes

it could either be a really good thing

or

a really bad thing.

I'm seeing the same thing and for more than 15 mins. I first saw it last night. Trying to connect to XOOPS gives an error message "db connection failed". Reloading connects. Then clicking a link repeats the process. Clicking reply to this message caused the same error. I vote for it being a "bad thing". Something seems to be wrong.

The site keep going down i am scared this post won't
..... for the first few times
....If it was me
...Quick check the Database and get full backup something is weird
....use logical table cheker is a must and see there is no tables failing....
As its scaring me why is XOOPS keep vanishing?????

they must be having some server bandwidth issues. I wonder where XOOPS hosts its MySQL and main site files?

The maitenance work done on the server could (theoretically, as I don't know) have overwritten the customised and optimised db settings with default ones. Or a temp folder could have been full.

As XOOPS.org is hosted on 2 dedicated servers with enough bandwidth to spare, that shouldn't have been the problem (but again, I don't know for sure).

My vote is on misconfiguration because of the server upgrade work. And that could be a thousand things, so it's not that difficult to miss.
