Hahaha, yeah and you were right. I searched all day, deleted this and that, updated this and that, copied databases and so on, no result.
Fortunately the host of this site is a friend of mine, he gave me 1000 megs space because he uses the server for other purposes.
So I asked him to increase the limit to 12 megs in php.ini and now everything is ok. Yippie.

What is considered to be the 'normal' memory size nowadays, is 12 megs still too low?
