Thank you for your answer. I've checked the tables they seem to be ok, but it's an older version of phpmyadmin so I can't be sure about this.

Strange thing is that on my testsite all is ok, and I copied (ftp'ed) the same files to both sites.

if they're ok, then that's your problem.. terrion mentioned you have to DELETE the tables manually with phpmyadmin..

only delete the tables belonging to profiles tho.. then you can reinstall it..

with regards to the original posters error..

you need to change the memory setting in php.ini if you haven't got root access or ur on a shared host, there isn't much you can do about it other than try and persuade your hosting company to up the limit.. 8mb is way too low for todays applications and dynamic sites..

shaunbless,

Here's a link to the 2.2.4 read me.

I think you should look over the info at the link I've provided. I has all the information you need to update from 2.2.3a to 2.2.4

let me know if you get stuck or have other questions.

Hey I might be learning! That's what I told svaha to do earlier. Cool

Hahaha, yeah and you were right. I searched all day, deleted this and that, updated this and that, copied databases and so on, no result.
Fortunately the host of this site is a friend of mine, he gave me 1000 megs space because he uses the server for other purposes.
So I asked him to increase the limit to 12 megs in php.ini and now everything is ok. Yippie.

Thank you all for your replies.

What is considered to be the 'normal' memory size nowadays, is 12 megs still too low?

After updating to 2.2.4 login to your website with your webmaster account and go to modules -> modules admin and click 'update' on the system, PM and profiles modules.

Your add profile was working before you did the update correct? If so this should fix it.
