I've got a problem, when ever I try to add/modify a new user rank the image doesn't seem to change or upload.

How do you go about doing this? I've tried to do a search here and in the FAQ, and I ahven't found anything for that.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I've noticed the same thing here on xoops.org. Adding a new rank is no problem, but modifying a rank image is. And the strange thing is, I modified the rank images not long ago here, and that worked...

Have you tried updating the system module?

Yeah, that does no good either. I tried updating before changing the image. Check. Nothing. Change image, update. Check. Nothing.

So possibly a bug or something?

the problem with ranks is the only ranks allowed in 2.2.3 are ranks 76 x 13 is there any way to modify XOOPS to allow bigger ranks?

I am using 2.2.3 and I haven't had any problems with updating and/or modifiying the "Ranks".

I have 22 ranks (7 with special ranks on and 15 with special ranks off) and they are jpeg's at 120 x 30.

I have modified the ranks 3 times, all with no problems and no hacks involved.

But as "davidl2" mentioned, I had to update the system module each time.

The only issue I had with ranks was that it had to be jpg images, I haven't needed to update anything..

well for me i just upload the rank to the folder and edit the database with the proper info for the file.

I am having the exact same problem. Upload a image for a rank and nothing shows up. I did it before with out a problem. Made sure they were the correct size and .jpg still nothing. Updated the sys before and after still nothing. Then out of nowhere one image worked. But nothing else has. The really strange thing is I tried to upload the same images as normal avatars and I got a error. Filetype not supported .jpg Anyone been able to fix this??
