Good points Peekay. Perhaps we could publically display the orphaned modules in a pool main page (xoops.org)? It would be nice to have a few volunteer coders on call that could drop current projects to pick up very popular or critical non core orphaned modules.

DonXoop, Hang in there.

1. well you need to find those volunteers first

2. shouldn´t something be done about making them orphans in the first place? (as in fix the cause and not the effect)

CBB is Newbb2 (with extra features) - as Bender said.

Phppp & Predator worked on Newbb2, so if the work is enhanced under a different name, it doesnt stop it being a carry-on of the same project.

(The Empire strikes back is still a star wars film... even if it's not called Star wars)

Hi Silvio,

When i post here, Quote:

Hope is the last thing to die !

A good friend and a great Xoopser's contributor reply this, Quote:

Hope is dead. Long live hope.

;)

Just now, i understand that XOOPS is not in a freedom way...
That's leaving many XOOPS friends sad and sick!

A fé é a ultima coisa a morrer.
Mas a fé jà morreu para alguns.
Depende de cada um deixar XOOPS cair ou não nas maos de pessoas que possam tirar a liberdade.

Abraço

Damaster, even hope is dead, we should make new hope for the [good friend and great Xoopser's contributor], shouldn't we?

We have a simular problem in the broadcast engineering field. Engineers that have been in the business are retiring and many would be engineers are smartly focused newer career paths that pay better.

shouldn´t something be done about making them orphans in the first place? (as in fix the cause and not the effect)

That would be the ideal solution wouldn't it!
