Is there anyway that you can setup a registration charge? Iam not planning on doing it, but a friend of mine was wanting XOOPS to replace their business site.

You can setup the registration so that it is manually approved. Just look in the System Preferences.

Use a store script to accept the changes, then manually approve the registration.

there is a pay script called aMember for subscription management that supports xoops:

You'd need both the aMember Pro and the XOOPS plugin

You can try the xdonations module. I believe they were working on a feature where upon donation, you automatically will be assigned to a "contributors" group. So, if you set up your XOOPS so that normal registered users have about the same rights as anonymous and contributors have more right you can manage this.

Would this be a feasible solution for you?
