Looks great for a simple flat-file system.

Experimented with it but couldn't get it to work on my test system. It kept saying I was not aurhorized to view. (In the Admin console form creation was very easy and I gave myself full access from both within the module's settings and from within the groups setting.)

Look at the newbb 2.0 module. You will find a script called 'makepdf.php' and a directory called 'fpdf'. Those are what you should copy into your xdirectory directory and modify them to meet your needs.

Enjoy!

I would like to make it so the common users (free) can only post their listing.

While paid users get to post and view the directory. Can someone come up with this or has it already been done?

So you want to allow the common users (free) to only post not view? And the paid users to post and view?

add my name to that list.

I like anyInventory but when I tried to port it . . . . couldn't get over a few mental hurdles. I like it because it's flexible. In this 'inventory' module the need for tracking ANY resource is important. So many other php inventory projects force the 'resource' to be a computer. I'd like to track people, software, databases etc.

Anyone found a solution? How about someone who is smart enough to be able to port anyInventory?

Thanks!

The problem, from my research (on the current 'link' type modules) shows that the problem isn't with how the resources are addressed nor with their permissions. It has to do with how the modules process the URL/URI/UNC. Most 'scrub' it using php functions and they expect them all to be http:// but not ftp:// nor file:// (In other words, they expect URL not URI or UNC.)

Just my .02 cents

Thanks for all the responses!

How can I get the various "link management" modules to link to an UNC? It seems they all prepend "http://" to everything . . . any ideas?

For example:
\\bigsambaserver\folderA\folderB\

becomes
http://\\\bigsambaserver\\folderA\\folderB\\

thanks,

Check your php.ini for the setting default_socket_timeout

Hey - wonder if your apache log or your php log would yield information as to what is causing the error. In using that same version (0.8) I didn't run into any of those errors.

Great Module. I'm sure more folks will install it and be using it soon.
