Tinycontent not working on vps

Hi,

I just transferred my site to a VPS server and everything works fine apart form the tinycontent module. I've done a clean installation on a different directory and installed the module afresh but still not working.

I can access the preferences but whenever I click on any of the other links (add content, add pagewrap, edit/delete content) they don't go anywhere.

Any idea why this might be?

Thanks,
Eugenie

Hi Everyone,

I just created a xoops theme from scratch. For the left column I entered this code

<{foreach item=block from=$xoBlocks.canvas_left }>
    <{
$block.title}>
    <{
$block.content}>
<{/foreach}>

but the items are appearing one next to the other and not as a list. How do I correct this?

Thanks,
Eugenie

Hi Everyone,

I just downloaded a theme I really like. Unfortunately it only has a center column. I've added the following code to the template:

<!-- Start left blocks loop -->
<{foreach
item=block from=$xoops_lblocks}>
  <{include
file="default/theme_blockleft.html"}>
<{/foreach}>
<!--
End left blocks loop -->

But now the content in the center block appears below the left column

How can I fix this?

Thanks,

Eugenie

User Profile Module Registration Steps - editing register.php

Hi everybody,

I've been trying to insert some php / mysql code in the User Profile module, in register.php so that, when someone registers, a new record is inserted in another database for admin purposes. The script worked. The only problem was that it was creating two records. I gathered this was because of the Advanced step being activated - you have to press the submit button twice. So I deactivated it, even deleted it, but it is still creating two records.

I guess I would have to remove some code in the register.php so that there is no trace of the Advanced stage.

Does anyone know what line I would have to remove to stop this from happening?

thanks,
eugenie

Hi,

This is what I get:

Notice: Only variable references should be returned by reference in file /modules/smartclient/include/functions.php line 325

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Many thanks for your help.

Hello,

I just upgraded to XOOPS 2.4 and every time I try to enter a client, either through the back or the front end, it says there's an error.

Has anyone got any idea why this could be and what i could do to fix it?

Many thanks

Best

Eugenie

Maybe you're right I'll try that way next time. I've got a tendency to make things more complicated than they are

Hi,

I know exactly how you feel. I had the same problem and found another way of doing it, perhaps i should say simpler...

On the local site of my ftp (I'm using dreamweaver) I rename the folder of the particular theme. If it is called MyTheme, I rename it to something like MyTheme2. I then open theme.html and replace all the MyTheme lines with MyTheme2.

I then copy it to the server, go to preferences and select the theme. Done!

It may not be the best way but it works and it's fairly easy as I find myself constantly having to change the theme a bit.

Good Luck!

After endless and rather absurd php / MySQL conspiracy theories to come to the point of this problem it turns out that notifications for my users were turned off.

Just noting it down it case someone might ever unknowingly make same mistake ;)
