Hello everyone,

I'm just putting a distress call out there. I had xHelp installed in my website and working fine. I had the very bad idea of re-installing it to fix a small problem and now it is not working.

The cron job is ok. I actually get notifications when the uid of the email in the database is 0 but that's it.

Has anyone got an idea of what setting is screwing it all up?

Thanks!

e

"the uid of the email in the database is 0"

what it means?

do you uninstall and install Xhelp again?
what is your XOOPS and php version?

basically it means that if i enter a different email address not assigned to a uid (user id) it does send the notification. I'm using XOOPS 2.2 and php 4.4.7.

It was working ok but because of a small technical problem i decided to reinstall the module and not i'm having these problems...

Thanks

I made some discoveries:

The notifications are working but something is not configured right as the are behaving rather strangely.

1. They seem to work with users created after the re-installation but not the previous one, although this is not absolute.

2. No notifications get created when it is the Admin creating the tickets on behalf of another person.

3. If another Admin creates a ticket for another user, only the email specified in the cron job gets the email, not the person the ticket is intended to.

4. If I create a response for another user, the same happens the cron job email gets the notification but not the user it is intended to.

After endless and rather absurd php / MySQL conspiracy theories to come to the point of this problem it turns out that notifications for my users were turned off.

Just noting it down it case someone might ever unknowingly make same mistake ;)
