I have installed those modules:

News, NewBB, Mylinks, Who's Online, Xoopspoll, Xoopsmembers, eCal, IpBoard (but inactive for ages), WFSections, XoopsPartners, XoopsHealine.

Most of them are quite out of date, as I had Xoops 2.0.6 updated to 2.4.5 few days ago (but admin panel was working fine in that version). But after 2.5 upgrade I went into xoops_modules table in my database via PHPAdmin and disabled all except System module (set them all as 'isactive=0'). So at the moment only Admin module is active, with blank page still.

Thanks for your reply, but there was "default" already, so I'm still stuck with my blank page...

Setting the admin theme to default in the db may also help.

Can you tell me how to do that, please?

Removed all .htaccess files, 8 or 9 of them. Didn't help, still blank page :/

What "temporary" should I remove?

Also, checksum.php shows only one thing:

./include/license.php content invalid

Hi.
I have updated my site from 2.4.5 to 2.5.0 and now I also have blank admin page. The debug function doesn't show any bugs like the one posted above. Also, I found another thread with 2.4.5 blank page bug and there was suggestion to disable modules in phpmyadmin and see if that helps. So I did that, disabled everything except system module, but nothing has changed - still totally blank admin page.

Any other solution maybe? Everything was ok before the 2.5 upgrade.

There should be conversion script after final release of newbb 2.0.

If you can prove that you absilutely need shell access, they may grant it to you, but I wouldn't expect it. Unless of course you go for a dedicated solution, which is cheap compared to other hosts.

Too bad. Making updates or backup, and many other operations is usually much better and easier on shell than ftp.

One question - is there a shell access to account?
