Anyone switched from IPB to newBB?

Just wondering, anyone here switched from IPB to newBB? Cos if I am to switch over to XOOPS, I guess I'd have to use newBB, and somehow I really find its functionalities limited and the data conversion a headache.

There should be conversion script after final release of newbb 2.0.

There are some techniques explained (search for IPB, PHPBB or SMF) but it stays some try and error with manual work.
