Cool, was not aware the module existed.

Though I can only find a download that still works for V2.0

Glad to be of service.
I've done small hacks and adaptations in my XOOPS code before, but this was the first time I thought it could be useful for others to.
I'm going to see if I can add some more, a admin.php with settings in a .cfg file should make the module more accesable for other XOOPS users.

Hello every one,
I have made a mod or update if you like, for this module.
Including using user name for the nickname and the newest version of PJIRC.
It is up for graps over here
and it should be working over here

It should work on other sites, but you need to edit the settings in the index.php file, so you won't end up in #mychanel ;).
If some one would validate this work, please do.

I encountered the problem to, moved to a new host, with PHP 5

http://xoopsforge.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?post_id=1553#forumpost1553

this post gave me the solution.

$Xoops_root/language/english/global.php
( or your language "mine is dutch" )
find

the e and the o have become reserved chars in PHP, so they need a \ to \e and \o .

define("_TODAY", "\V\a\\n\d\a\a\g G:i:s");
define("_YESTERDAY", "\G\i\s\\t\e\\r\e\\n G:i:s");
define("_MONTHDAY", "j/n/Y G:i:s");
define("_YEARMONTHDAY", "j/n/Y G:i");

So If you see T2006day in your date time of posts ( or T2007day happy new year ) make shure the o gets a \ infront of it.
( added this so others searching might find sollution sooner )

Well, I own a Dutch language site that's mainly a blog, based on Xoops, wordpress module and CBB.
You can find it herehttp://www.jenniferdelano.nl and if you stick a babelfish in your ear ;)

I just spotted that my provider is being its usual self again and my site is "temporary" not available, but I hope that you can visit it when you pass by.

Bump.

I think I'm on to the couse of the problem, my Host. No PHP script seems to be working, PHPbb , bblog, xoops, every php script hosted by my host, LYCOS ( perhaps some one has the same host ) It's started as just an occasional white page, but now all of my sites are permanently Blank.
You can Imagine I'm Pissed of about this, I pay good money to have these sites hosted, and they don't even work
