I had the same problem with XOOPS CBB 2.2. The preview post was churning out text code such as </br> using both the default editor and dhtmleditor.

After searching around, I finally found the solution to the problem here.

I have the same problem, running 2.2.4 also.

User uploaded avatars work fine, but selecting a system avatar doesn't work.

Anyone know how to fix this.

I have the *exact* same problem on my site, even though I am running 2.2.4 - users can upload avatars but can't select one of the existing ones.

Help in solving this riddle would be appreciated.

I have the same problem on my site.
My webhost allows only 3600 CPU seconds/day, but I was using over 20000. After enabling all cache features and blocked web bots, it reduced it to 15000, which is still too much. My site recieves around 100,000 requests/day.

It's hard to pinpoint where all the CPU usage is coming from... anyone have ideas?

Thanks for the review billyvision
Could you point out any way where the site could be improved?

Sorry, haven't used XCGal before, but if all the images in the gallery are in the same directory, you could try using this:

I just installed it for my site banner at GDAmania. Works very nicely.

By the way, there's no need to double post.

The autologin hack never really worked for me for some strange reason... sometimes it would keep a user logged in for about 10 minutes, other time it just didn't work after you closed the browser. My site is running XOOPS 2.2.3.

I hope they will add it as a permanent feature in future XOOPS versions.

I really like the colors of your site, it suits the game very much.

Minor point: The stretched image in the the right hand part of the Vice City logo looks rather awkward compared to San Andreas.

Also, the title page is a little confusing...
What's the difference between "Other Sites", "Network" and "Links"?

Your site looks like it's gonna be huge. Keep it up!

I second that. XLanguage is probably the best mulilanguage module out there. Installation is very easy.

Now I have English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean all working together flawlessly on my site (although it took a lot of work to find and configure the different language files). It's excellent especially with Asian languages because you can use UTF-8 encoding for all languages so you can have multilingual content appear.

GDAmania - A Drummania Guitarfreaks Gaming community
http://www.gdamania.net/

I switched over from Nuke-PHP a couple of monthes ago (fed up with its messiness). My site is dedicated to the arcade music games Drummania and Guitarfreaks.

It's quite a niche community so my guess is that most of you won't be interested. However, if you would be so kind to give a bit of feedback about the overall design of the site, I'd be very very happy. XOOPS is working great and I love it's blend of stability and functionality.
