Looks like this character, or someone using the same MO has just registered at a couple of my sites using an address @avereunlavoro.org

There are now a number of threads regarding this same topic.

Is it possible for one of the mods to merge the threads?

This one.

This one maybe others?

with any .info they should see this above the field.
* ERROR: Invalid email

Can someone point me to the correct file to update so that I can put some extra "user friendly" information into this message.

The last thing that I want to do is turn away valid registrations, so if I could add some more text to inform the user what to do if they believe they have a valid registration request.

Something along the line of...
"Sorry, due to spamming we no longer automatically allow registration with the email address .....@..... Please either use another email address or send an email to me@my-email.com to request registration"

I have this already in the .htaccess

Should I replace this with the
Quote:
AddHandler cgi-script .php .pl .py .jsp .asp .htm .shtml .sh .cgi
Options -ExecCGI
or add it before or after the existing .htaccess?

Look in your Protector Module under Prefix Manager.

New opponent, same result.

Australia 8-289. Kiwis all out for 184.

White managed to hit one onto the roof of the members stand. Awesome.

I was hacked by this same hacker about 6 months ago.

It seems that he had placed index.html files into every directory.

I found it easiest to restore the site from a backup.

Have a look in the language files of the module. That is where it should be stored.

On other forums that I visit, if someone PMs me, then I receive an email to my registered email address to tell me that I have a PM waiting for me.

This is extremely useful for sites that you don't visit every day and I think is something lacking in XOOPS PM module.

Are there any plans to add this feature?

I think that you can achieve this with a .htaccess file.
Deny from all
