Hi,

Start with this thread as there's been a lot of discussion.

Personally, I've gone for the jugular by adding |.info$ to the "User Info Settings in Admin>Preferences.

This stops any registrations which use a .info top level domain in the email address. Bit drastic though, as it stops bona fide registrations, too

If he gets through after that then he goes in my site's "Sin Bin"

I have the same problem with some other modules.
I don't thinks that the problem comes from News itself.

Hi JAVesey,
I have followed your advice and I add |.info$ to the "User Info Settings in Admin>Preferences.

Let us hope this works.
The good news is that it is not a door in the news module.

Blessings to all and continue making the good work.

You could, perhaps, make a note on your site, either in Forums or in, say, a custom block saying that you will manually create an account for bona fide users with .info email addresses.

Users with .info addresses are not at all common for me, but they might be for others; I guess it's for site admins to form their own view on this.

There are now a number of threads regarding this same topic.

Is it possible for one of the mods to merge the threads?

This one.

This one maybe others?
