Will you Please send me a pm as well about this issues as EXACTLY the same thing happened to us today! Everything was fine till we had a co admin add catagories.

Files are still there and I can edit them and have them appear in the correct catagories. If we just click a downloads area link It shows no file details but it does appear as a count in the catagories.

We are unable to access the Permissions area of WF downloads admin AT ALL

Thank you in advance for the help.

Where are you talking about? Are you talking about the installation of this module or is there a fix somewhere and if so where?

We had tried PD Downloads when we first set up our site. The problem with it is it had eliminated the ability to upload screen shots from inside the submission form. That for us is a must feature. Unless I am missing something here.

WF downloads is now working quite well for us with one small feature that we can't seem to figure out maybe one of you great people can help us.

Our site is for games custom created content and our designers and members are uploading screen shots of their creations using every imaginable size and as a result because we can only set image sizes by pixel (in the thumbnail setting) a large number of thumbnails are VERY distorted.

Is there ANY WAY for us to be able to set this so that the images uploaded in the screen shot field will generate thumbnails that maintain aspect ratios? This is very irritating since we have thousands and thousands of files to deal with. Making them all Square so that they look correct will be a logistics nightmare.

Thanks again

Thanks again for the quick reply m0nty. It actually is an issue in our forusm because we have so many versions of the same game and subforums are necessary to be able to keep it straight withouth having a forums list a mile long.

If there is not a solution to resolve this to show it then we have to create catagories out of our forums and forums out of our subs.(I hope not)

Thanks again

This is getting aggrivating and I am wondering if these two problems might be in some way related.

The first problem we have is with incorrect counts in our WF downloads area. Read WF-Downloads Showing (0) instead of a text category for detailed information.

The second problem has to do with proper post and topic counts in the NewBB (v.2.0.28) when a suforums is used.

In the main index board if a forums has no subforums we get correct Topic and Post counts.

If we add a subforums under a forums then the topic and post count will read 0

Example:

Resized Image

Once you have selected Roller Coaster Tycoon Discussion Area in the above example then the topic and post counts show correctly

Resized Image

I hope this is enough information if not please let me know. Moon hawk and I are in the same site so anything he adds is from the same site and problem.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I know you all just moved everything but I don't want to see this thread die because this is very frustrating for our members. MoonHawk and I are in the same site.

Thanks everyone

Yes we can and do click "All" that is not the issue.

The issues is we should not have to click anything. The custom groups should have the files automatically show to them the same as they do for the Default groups set by Xoops.

We have thousands of files to load to prep the site and also will be getting several hundred added each week. We would have to have someone doing nothing but going in and clicking "All" many many times a day. This is totally unacceptable.

We are a game site that offers custom made content for the gaming community so our downloads numbers are high!

WF Downloads - uploaded file not showing to custom groups

We installed XOOPS (v 2.0.10) and WF Downloads (2.0.5a) to our site. Everything is working just fine with one exception.

We created three additional groups besides the default groups installed by Xoops. When a download file is uploaded the default groups are able to see it instantly. Our custom made groups are not. We have to go into the WF downloads permissions and manually tick off the view boxes for each and every file upload. This would not be a problem if it were not for the fact that our site is for downloads. Thousands of them and this is for us a huge issue.

We have searched the forums here and in WF Dwonloads and have found no reference to this particular problem. We have triple checked all permissions and all settings. They appear to be correct yet this is still a problem.

Correcting this problem is a very big issue for us and can lead to changing to a different system if not corrected and soon.

Thanks you in advance for your replies.
