please help with wf-downloads

I am using XOOPS 2.2.4

I was using w-downlaods v3.0 and somehow many of the categories were lost.it is showing the exact number of files and categories that were there but it isnt showing any of them in the index page.

I tried updating the module and updated it to 3.10 rc1 but now one more problem has come up. in the recent downloads its showing some no.s instead of the date.

Please help me out as this thing is bugging me.

and do let me know how can restore all the files and categories in the index page.

In the module admin you can set the permission for the categoies and groups. Is it on?

Thanks for the response.

but the problem is very different from just the permissions.
Here's the summary what i c in the admin index page of the module.


Module Admin Summary
Category: 32 | Files: 492 | Submitted: 1 | Modified: 0 | Broken: 0 | Reviews: 2 | Mirrors: 0

but when i access the category section in the admin panel it shows only 6 of them but all of them are present in the sql table(i checked it thru phpmyadmin).

even all the files could be seen in the admin panel but none of them are working which were in the categories that are gone now.

Sometimes its is just a small thing ...

In your case its something else. I think the best you can do now is post it on the site of wf-downloads

Seems you have so far not posted on smartfactory.ca yet.

1. did you really check on category permissions? If the have for whatever reason no webmaster permission anymore you won´t see them. Even in admin.

2. If you got some old database dumps from before 3.0 and/or after converting to 3.0 you can cut out only the wf-downloads parts and send them to me if you like and i have a look.

PM me here or on smartfactory for an email adress.

also turn php debug on and then try MySQL debug, that may give more info..

thanks all for their response.

Well I tried to check the permissions after reading the posts here but I cudnt access the page it says 500 internal server error.

well lemme tell wat happened step by step

1.I was using XOOPS 2.2.4 with wf-downloads v3.0 (everything was going fine without any problems)

2. One of my co-admins created a new category

3. Many of the other categories were lost nowhere to be seen

4. now system is showing there are 32 categories but in categories section its displaying only 6-7 of them.

5. I updated the wf-d module to version 3.10 in hope of rectification.

6. when trying to access permissions page its giving 500 internal server error.

7. Its showing all the files in published files but not showing any info f I click them whereas I m ble to edit the file and put it in some new category and then the file is accessible.

Bender thanks for the help. please let me know what all tables you require so that I can forward them to you.

Will you Please send me a pm as well about this issues as EXACTLY the same thing happened to us today! Everything was fine till we had a co admin add catagories.

Files are still there and I can edit them and have them appear in the correct catagories. If we just click a downloads area link It shows no file details but it does appear as a count in the catagories.


We are unable to access the Permissions area of WF downloads admin AT ALL
