I have a big problem and as a beginner I have no idea what to do about it. I have two forums installed on my site used by two different groups. The original forum is newbb and the new forum is IPBoard. When I installed IPB it took over the PM/Inbox module with its control panel. As the users of the newbb forum do not have access to the IPB forum they nolonger can send or receive private messages.

Is their a way to get the old Inbox back? I don't really need the IPB control panel if its necessary to de-activate it. Any help would be appreciated.

I have used this module in another site and its great. But I just installed a fresh version of XOOPS for another site and installed xlanguage but its not working correctly.

First it would not let me install more than one base language. So I went directly in the database to add the second language.

It only kind of works. When you choose a language Both contents appear but the "non"chosen language text also appears as well as its language tag:
for example:

When I am a french user the resulting content appears like this :
TESTEZ[EN]TEST[/EN]

When I am an english user the content appears like this:
TEST[FR]TESTEZ[/FR]

So the module is only half working. It is determining which language but not dealing with the second language.

Any help?

I installed timesheet and it told me install was successful. But the admin and access from the menu both give me the blank white screen. I have debugging activated and the error messages appear elsewhere in my site but i don't even get the error messages in timesheet. Unfortunately, this means I can't give much information about my problem.

All I can give are my server configs:
Apache/2.0.51 (Fedora 2)
MySQL 3.23.58,
PHP Version 4.3.10
xoops 2.0.9.2

I have read the readme and gone to the official site but the support is inactive (0 posts) and have not found any listings here (sign that the module must be good!) its surely a problem with me but i have no idea where to begin to debug.

Any input would be helpfull I really really want this module... the demo shows it is exactly what i need.

This module is great, very useful. I have another language dilemna, What about having two different languages for content.

For example I have a classifieds module and I enter the content in french and english so in each listing the description is in both french and english but it would be great if the content too could be split by lanugage depending on their chosen laguage. I have tried creating two different ads one in each language but it bulked up the results of searches and it looks pretty bad when the same ad appears to show up twice.

Does this exist somewhere? I'm not skilled enough to modify the classifieds module myself.

I just moved my entire XOOPS site to a new server. Everything seems to have gone smoothly (thanks to this sites FAQs) but there are a few things that are different from the original site which concerns me. I copied all files and the database exactly. The only changes i made were:
- modify the mainfile.php and obviously all the root paths changed
- deleted all template_c files and cache files (based on a recomendation in the forum)(I have saved a copy of the cache/adminmenu.php though putting it back didn't seem to change anything)

The changes I see are mostly involving the admin. I had modified the html and php to remove the rollover menu in the admin so I assumed the change would still be there as its in the pages i transfered. Plus some of my permission settings for groups were not saved. I thought all that was in the database and therefore should not have changed?

Its not a huge problem I can redo all the changes as I find them but I would like to understand better what happened. Does XOOPS recreate the admin files?
And is there a better way to turn off the rollover menu?

I'm looking to create graphs and charts as well. Did you ever develop this for xoops? If I use another script I'll put it in the repository but it will be a bit specific to my needs. I'll start from PHP/SWF Charts but if someone has already done it I'd appreciate input or sharing.

I have looked in class/smarty/core/ and the files are there but several have been renamed bizarrely :
core.assemble_plugin_#D7E2A.php does not exist on my original local files
and

core.write_compiled_resource.php became :
core.write_compiled_r#D7E3E.php

I reinstalled the whole core directory but I still get the same error.
