Document Management System wont install

I downloaded the Document Management System module, and uploaded it to my site in /modules. However, when I try to install, I get an error.
Unable to install dms. Error(s):
Invalid default value for 'obj_id'

I am running Apache 2.0.55, PHP5.1.2, MySQL 5.0.18. Looks like a DB issue, but I am unsure where and why?

WF-Section vs XF-Section vs Something Else

I am looking for a content control/versioning module. Basically, I want one area where "content admins" can modify documents, and keep a history of the changes. Once they are done, they "publish" it to a public area, which is open to all for viewing/downloading.

The content I need to do this with is mostly MS Office files (Excel, Word and PPT). So, I dont need the content displayed in the site, just linked (for download) and a section for versioning.
I dont need to compare versions, just have the ability to add comments that say what was changed between versions.

Does WF-Section of XF-Section do this? I have juist downloaded them, but I have not looked at them yet.

Advanced Calendar Module

I am looking for an advanced calendar module.

I have looked at the eCal module, and its ok, but I found a bug (quirk) right away in that having a weeklong event that spans the end of one month into the beginning of the next can not be done. (Unless I just missed it somewhere...)

What I am looking for is more of a "groupware" calendar type thing, where an admin can put events on certain people calendar's, and have a "master" calendar himself that incorperates all the "sub" calendars.

Perhaps what I am looking for is too much, and the eCal might be ok, as long as I could get the event month span issue worked out.
(I was using eCal 2.24, from the module repository.)

actually, rather than having to ftp the files up, and then note and remember the proper path to the file, i want the download module to do that for me.

I want it to upload my file, and create the proper link for me automatically.

Hope that clears it up.

Good tip on the htaccess, i had forgotten about that!

Download (Upload) Support

When I am setting up files for download, I need to type in a full URL to the file.

What I want is to be able to select (browse) my system, and upload it as the file to be downloaded when I submit the form.

So, rather then me putting the file in the right place, and making sure the link is correct, I want to system to do all that work, and I just select the file. It then uploads the file, and creates the proper link to the file.

I know this would only work on files small enough to get past the php.ini setting, but if I am using it for PDF's and such, thats plenty big enough.

I just found a few other posts with this same question... and it seems that after you get a patch from bbpixel, you then need to patch that as well.

I will try that out this weekend.. and i hope it works.

One more thing... does 4Images allow for movie uploads? IE, so i can have a gallery of movie clips? And those clips would play whenever the user selected a video?

4Images Integration

I really like the 4Images photo gallery.

Is there an integration/module that allows easy use of 4Images within xoops? I have tried one mod (dont remember where i got it) but it didnt work right at all.

Any ideas?

Admin Area Using Old Theme

I have created my own theme, based off the default XOOPS theme.
It works fine on the whole site except the admin area. That is still showing the old default theme. How do get all areas of the site to use the new theme?

Custom Theme Graphics

I am trying to modify the default XOOPS theme to suit my sites colors and style, and so far I have been able to do ok with link colors, title bars and the logo.

What I really want though, is grpahics to be displayed at the menu links, rather than text. So for each module I have installed, I have a custom graphic that I was to be displayed in the menu.

Is that possible? How can I do it?

Create New Theme

Very simply, I want to take a current theme and modify it to create a new theme, or to do it from stratch. Modify a current one is my preffered method.

I want to change the logo, the colors, and just about everything else. How do I do this?

I have been fiddling with the template manager, but that just seems to modify the blocks. I dont want to modify the block content... just what the borders look like, the font size and such.

How do I do this? Which CSS do I need to modify?

How do I get it to use my logo graphic and my own icons for things such as New Topic in the forum and such?
