Sorry for some strange words, but our useally place to such info was down.

Ok it was to errors (for me dba) very hard to find.

Short
1) define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', '/') ;)
2) # is not // in PHP ;)

Long
1) for mirc.home.pl/xoops XOOPS_ROOT_PATH should be '/xoops'
for xoops.pl XOOPS_ROOT_PATH should be '/'

2) on such definition
#define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://www.<censored>.pl');
define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://www.<cen>.pl');

XOOPS_URL will behttp://www.<censored>.pl right?


With this 2 errors I was complety lost, but now its work...

It ist not new installation. I have copy all files to server and it work with this url:http://mirc.home.pl/xoops, but do not work with www.xoops.pl (now is here info site).

Hmm I suppose no.
It is the same physical server.
We have 2 domains:
mirc.home.pl -> / (other site)
and xoops.pl -> /xoops/ (xoops - which do not work with define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://www.xoops.pl'); )
so
mirc.home.pl/xoops -> /xoops (xoops - which work, with define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://mirc.home.pl/xoops'); )

thanks for prompt Answer.

Yes I have change XOOPS_URL - the XOOPS_ROOT_PATH it the same.

With this settings it work without problems.

// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
// Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
// Example: define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://xoops.pl');
define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://mirc.home.pl/xoops');
#define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://www.xoops.pl');

With this not :(

// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
// Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
// Example: define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://xoops.pl');
#define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://mirc.home.pl/xoops');
define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://www.xoops.pl');

This is only one change that I made.

If you go tohttp://mirc.home.pl/xoops you can see that script work (site at work message).
But when you go direct to xoops.pl - it bringt only errors.

I have moved polish support XOOPS site to another hosting.

It work with this urlhttp://mirc.home.pl/xoops (without problems)
but when I change tohttp://www.xoops.pl i have only this massage

I think that mayby this file are accessible only for request mirc.home.pl not for request from xoops.pl?

It ist possible?
How can I correct it?

Other language - how to configure it?

Hi,

I want use XOOPS 2.0.13.2 with other than English language - in this case Polish. I want use polish spellchecker for forum , news, articles, and so on - it is possible? If yes please say how.

Any good tutorial about mulitlanguage and hmtl editor will by too very apperciate.

Background ist very simple - I want do full polish version of XOOPS 2.0.13.2 (2.2.x is not my favorite).

CVS problems with download

Hi,

No one know answer on dev.xoops.org - so I ask on this forum.

if I want to download file direct from CVS i got this error.

The requested URL /viewcvs.py/*checkout*/xoops/modules/plxoops/modules22/news/language/polish/modinfo.php was not found this server.

I cant see this file but not download?

Any idea why?

Hi,

Oracle have now free (like free beer )database - Oracle XE.
It is possible to use it with XOOPS? Any plans or dreams???

I think it will be good start to expand supported databases...
