O.K here goes...the database with my website is xoop2

I have installed XOOPS several times trying to reconnect the core...it will not allow it.

The 2nd database named xoopsbasic is the database I just installed as I am comparing code as to see where I have gone wrong.

You can look here....

of course if you just type the url you will get the new core of xoopsbasic

I had everything all nice and neat...but what are these silly machines for anyway?

Thanks,
soloeagle

I had a small issue with my machine, I won, but my XOOPS site I cannot get to run as it existed. The MySQL database still exists (complete) I should be able to get the core to run this database however I have been unable to do so. I have tried fresh install, database renaming. I built a pretty complex site...I would just like to use it again. Any help appreciated.

I really love this xoops...fun to play with and easy to use...

I have Formulize and have built a form(s) to collect all the data that I need. The reporting system is abit shy of where I would like to be. My hat is off to the folks that dev'd that module...and I think they are on to something really, really big! I hope they continue to develope this powerful tool. O.K. I have all the data entered and have submitted my form, all that wonderful data is now in the database...I am looking for a reporting module that I could build output reports, mathematically manipulate the data as some of the data is hour, date, affected in the future. Format the look of the reports, create pages based on data in the db. I would be happy to work with anyone who is creating or developing something of this nature. For a serious inquiry I may be emailed: wldcwby@hotmail.com At that time I could show the site and confer some ideas on how to achieve what I am looking for. It is all about getting the data back out in multiple ways for multitudes of required uses. Query methods, drill down search, presentable and printable documents. Instant refresh of published content based on data submitted etc.

If you have any ideas or suggestions, I am open to input.

Installed module, copied .htaccess file to server root, file name is grayed and capitalized in the file properties. Module installed- no problem, I can get the admin.php via /modules/noah/admin.php, however when I test from my URL [http:://myURL/shopadmin] I get the page cannot be found. Any help out there. In other words I am not reaching the /shopadmin which is where all the work gets done. Probably means incompatible file type in my server?

You are absolutely correct. I browsed No-Ah last night and I think I should start there. I am new to this XOOPS concept but I really like what I have seen and I'm looking forward to creating some real database driven content. Thank you for the reply.

O.K. so far I like what I see...what I need to know is how to create forms for users to access, add, search records in a database. Something like CodeCharge or MultiForm Generator. I want to use my XOOPS site to access my databases...which are mysql...I already have and use phpMyAdmin I don't want non-sophisticated users using phpMyAdmin as I administer the databases there. I want to incorporate the forms directly into the my XOOPS site as they both reside on the same MySQL server. Modules? I am brand new to xoops.
