yeah I haven't applied the patches to the forums yet. I've upgraded to 2.0.16 now. I'm not sure WHY the username would be that way. Is that default?

I'll modify it manually. If the ipboard changes it then okay.

I'll let you know if that works.

I downgraded from 2.2.3 to 2.0.13 last night and cannot get the login to work beyond the one page you login on.

When you login to the site, and try to traverse to another page, it logs you out. This only happens on the site and is not happening in the admin panel.

Is there a solution for this? I tried searching and came up with nothing.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you! Sometimes searches don't work if you don't put in the right words. ;)

I'll give this a shot in a testing environment.

I have an immediate need to split my site up into two separate sites. The client wants to share the users, and when a user signs up for one site, they sign up for both.

Both will be using the latest stable version of XOOPS and is splitting off from the latest stable version as well with a membership reaching 10k+.

We're basically splitting one site up to make an official and unofficial site. But would like to always use the same membership base.

Are there any suggestions on how to go about this?

Alright, the issue is not really solved but the source of the issue isn't xoops, so I'm taking it up with koudanshi.

I restored the system_blocks.php file from the original XOOPS file and updated the system module and the user menu appeared as normal.

I then uploaded koudanshi's ipb1.5b version and it went missing again.

So, thanks for your help on this one! It definately is some sort of file corruption. Hopefully bbixel is working on it.

In the mean time, I've created a "User Menu" custom block which will suffice for the moment.

Taken over from a thread earler...

My only other installation problem that I've ran into is my user menu block not displaying. Do you have time to assist with that one too?

We've established that it is turned on. it is assigned to the right groups. it is set correctly--its just not showing up.

However, I don't think I can help more - if the block is set visible, to show up on all pages and available to registered users... then it should show up.

You haven't accidently removed yourself from the registered users group, have you?

All of my other blocks are working fine except this one. I've even deleted it and created a new one, and the site will just not display it.

I checked the registered groups and I'm still listed as a registered user. I've also recieved a request regarding it from a regular registered user as well.

Can we continue this User Menu issue? Should I start another thread so it can be more helpful to other people?

Its set to go to the left side on all frontside pages.

I was, earlier, having similar issues with other blocks that were on the right side, but found that setting them to another value and then back to the value I wanted worked. That isn't working for this block, unfortunately.

edit: in the database, under the options field, it has this: a:0:{}

Is that helpful?

Yes, it it exists in the admin panel. Its set to show on the left hand column, and the groups have it turned on for registered, webmaster, and a custom group I have set.

The block doesn't show up in the debug:
