downgrade user login issues

I downgraded from 2.2.3 to 2.0.13 last night and cannot get the login to work beyond the one page you login on.

When you login to the site, and try to traverse to another page, it logs you out. This only happens on the site and is not happening in the admin panel.

Is there a solution for this? I tried searching and came up with nothing.

Thanks in advance!

I would upgrade to the current stable and recommended version of 2.0.16.

i was wandering about your site and i noticed that the menu has links with www. in them and the other links do not.

check your mainfile.php and check if your XOOPS_URL and see if it has a www. in it.. if not. .try adding it and see if it fixes that problem.

and i cant seem to get the register page to accept a name.

okay fixing mainfile.php helped with that. now...registration?

let me update to 2.0.16 real quick and see if that solves anything.

Re: downgrade user login issues

the form in the yoursiteurl/register.php file has a size='0' maxlength='0' .. it causes the problem that users cannot input a name in there. i would say modify the field.. the register form is in XooPS/include/registerform.php ..but..

i also see that you are also using ipboard.. i dont have any experience with that module and if there is supposed to be certain modifications to register.php specific to the XOOPS version you are using. so i dont think i can really suggest any changes to register.php

yeah I haven't applied the patches to the forums yet. I've upgraded to 2.0.16 now. I'm not sure WHY the username would be that way. Is that default?

I'll modify it manually. If the ipboard changes it then okay.

I'll let you know if that works.

.. i just remembered that that field length is set in the XOOPS admin section...

preferences->user info settings-> minimum and maximum length of username
