Hi,

I would like to find out how the poster_ip field in the table bb_posts is used.

I see that it is an integer field with 11 digits. Is it a decimal form of the IP?

Thanks.

The strength of Mambo being actively promoted by a commercial company was both its strenth and weakness. I think XOOPS definetely can learn from their promotional activities. This most of all requires manpower, XOOPS volunteers. We have a few in the marketing and communications team, but there is plenty of room for more enthusiastic XOOPSers who would like to help making XOOPS the most popular openSource CMS.

Good intentions alone are not enough. XOOPS needs people.

What is the job scope of the marketing and communications team?

I don't have a direct solution to your problem, but you could try upgrading your forum to CBB?

The reason why you don't see a lot of line breaks in the code before the table is most probably because the line breaks are all in the code for the table.

I've had the same problem before but it was with AMS. Anyway, the reason is this: the text you entered into the content page is sent through a parser and the parser adds the <br /> tag to the lines that have a line break at the end of the line, including HTML code. So you can observe that there are many <br /> tags amongst your table code.

Strangely, the browser interprets this as line breaks before the table. So the solution will be to put all HTML code in a single line to prevent <br /> tags from being added into the table.

Why don't you specify which files you need. I can download for you and email it to you if you'd like. Of course you'd have to PM me your email address.

I don't think there is this option as far as I know.

It worked fine for me. Perhaps you can try again? Or specify which link that you have problems with.

Thanks for putting up the solution to your problem kiwiguy.

Really appreciate it cos not everyone post the solution to their problems after they've fixed it.

And I empathise with your situation as I have a few posts that no one bothered to answer despite me bumping them up. Sometimes I wondered if it was me haha

But I think the point is it would help XOOPS alot if the community were to be more forthcoming in helping people in the forum. On the other hand, I understand that there are some people who keep asking the same questions even though there is a ready FAQ for them.

Shouldn't the Creative Commons License be placed somewhere else less obvious or the GPL placed alongside it? If I'm a new user, my first impression would be that this software is CC and that my turn me off this site since I won't be able to use it for commercial purposes.

Hi, I don't really understand your question. But from what I see, it's as though you want to use the styles on the XOOPS pages for these pages too. Am I right to say that?

If so, then you can just link the CSS file that your XOOPS pages are currently using.
