specs:

FreeBSD 4.10
Apache 2.0.50
PHP 5.0.1

BTW: are there others with similar config, but without these problems? (could it be server setup problems?)

I installed 2.0.8, and I can not install news and newBB modules.. "already installed" error...
System runs PHP5.0.1...

What does it check to se if the modules are alredy installed? ( is there any files that is left behind , or parts of the DB, that can cause this?)
or is there any checks or somthing that return a different value under php5? like in this:

Installed the 2.0.8 version, and it corrected that problem...

But I can not install News and BB mods, they are already installed, it says...

I get the same error on my system. according to to provider it is running PHP 4.3.8....?

Should I try same fix?
