clone lastitems block :: smartsection

is it possible dear xoopsers to clone a block in the smartsection module?

I am talking about the last items block (no details).

also, for some strange reason I can't use the spotlight block, it is always empty, no matter what settings I provide...

I must be doing something wrong.

Hi guys!

I would like to ask you, if there is a way to disable th pdf function in smartsection. I can't find an option!

do I have to edit the templates?
where?

as long as you have different databases THEORETICALLY you can...

but I am not sure...

if you can't connect to your my sql database you won't be able to run xoops...

tell your host to open you a new one if the old one is problematic and reinstall - or backup the existing one via phpmy admin, import into new one and link XOOPS there by changing the mainfile.php, but WITHOUT doing any changes to the file structure at all...

if you are generally unable to connect on any MySQL database I think it's time thinking of a new hosting solution...

check your encoding and the fsockopen() function from phpinfo.

if fsockopen() is disabled you will see only few feeds.
same goes for xhld, wich is far away the best rss feeder.

many free or low cost hosts disable fsockopen() because of abusing by users who just don't respect anything...

seems to me as an Internet security software problem.

add your domain in the safe list, HTTP referer settings do not allow it by default.

check also the XOOPS faq!! there are details there!

found it...

the fsockopen() function is disabled in my hosting server...

this means xhld can't get the feeds, nore store them in db...


pity.
