Hello,

I am a new user of the XOOPS CMS. I'll try to use the Headlines module (embedded in the package) for display the RSS newsfeed from MacBidouille, Mac4Ever, ... but it don't seem to work.

For MacBidouille, for example, I use the RSS located athttp://www.macbidouille.com/macbidouille.rss but I have a blank page as result.

Any clues, any ideas ? I suppose it's a stupid error from myself...

Thanks

Olivier

check your encoding and the fsockopen() function from phpinfo.

if fsockopen() is disabled you will see only few feeds.
same goes for xhld, wich is far away the best rss feeder.

many free or low cost hosts disable fsockopen() because of abusing by users who just don't respect anything...

How would you do that? I searched through the page generated by phpinfo() for fsockopen() with no results!

Thanks,
George
