ok.. i've updated my site.. to 2.07. The hack mentioned here isnt available, as you say.. or i'm blind. And Im not using the hack because I DONT KNOW IT.. I did fluke it once, but thats why i come here, for the answers from these good peeps. Answers are nice.. not criticism.. I love XOOPS and am trying to get the best out of it, because my members deserve it. If you cant help, or dont know, simply go to next post. Im looking for a useful reply to my quiry.

Anybody? I tried again .... nada ... please? There has to be someone with these two files edited and working... one would think anyway. Thank you I really would like to be able to get rid of the added view recent posts off of the forum top... its congestive and viewing the last ten simply isnt enuff.. Thanx again

... its the newbb_block_new.html and the newbb_index.html files that i am supposed to edit. And its the location within these files where to put these two lines that i need to know. I tried every combo..

I just discovered a new problem, after viewing a new post it remains as an unviewed post? The folder doesnt change.

I only have, thus far, hacked two of the php files...

functions.php - You can change the xoops_refcheck() function in include/functions.php (line 137 and forward) to always return true. thus taking care of the firewall prob.

and

main.php - fix for webmaster delete in /modules/system/admin/groups/main.php

are any of these the culprit or? any ideas?

Ok.. that sounds easy enuff.. we have a new ensim panel and i just reloaded the forum because of the server panel upgrade. I used the nifty backup database module i had installed previous. Nice module except theres no reinstall database feature, just a save database. I believe im left entering the 5 mb of sql. data in manually... or start from scratch. Be nice if the module reinstalled also.
