Are there any modules that jazz up the user profile pages?

They are a bit dull at the moment and theres not much there where a user can have a little more control over what is displayed on their profile page rather than just his registration details and then a long list of the posts, downloads etc that they have done.

I'm looking for an event module where registered users can add upcoming events, and those will be displayed in either most recent events block or a next event block (ie what are the next events due based on the current day)

Which would be the best module to use for this?

I'm using CBB 2.2 and when I try and create a topic the text displays as nl2br when I go to view the post.

This seems to only happen when I use the default DHTML Box for entering the topic text. If I use the dropdown and select the standard Text Box the post is displayed fine.

Anyone know how I can either, fix the DHTML Box or remove the DHTML as the default selection for entering Text?

I'd rather the DHTML Box was fixed though.

I also have the Kovi Text Box which works ok too.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Personally I use oscommerce for dealer / catalogue sites.
Just remove the buy now buttons / cat box etc, so the viewer can't buy a product.
Use the contributions like ask for price etc.
Lots of contributions for extra info pages.

See one of my dealer sites that is currently being setup at the moment BlueLightUK for ideas.

I tried to use XOOPS before for that sort of thing but it dosn't lend itself to it very well. And K shop module for XOOPS is terrible at the moment, needs a lot of work still.

So anyone know how to reconfigure them? Or do I just go into blocks, add them, and give them a name?

yeah,
It's odd because it used to work. But since I've added a new user group it dosn't. but as far as I can see thats the only thing thats changed.

Pretty Sure some of that is down to blocks, as the download says:

Make sure to re-configure your CBB blocks since XOOPS 2.2 changes the way for block management

But I don't know what that means
