What's the name of the module that you can insert outside content into? like putting a You Tube embedded script into?

I have been using NewBB 2.0 for my forums for a little over a year. I believe the actual version is 2.02, and have had no problems at all with it.

I upgraded to to 2.0.16 about a week ago from 2.0.13.2 and everything has been fine until today.

All my forums are there, except all the messages are gone. The titles of the threads are there, but no message. when you try to pull a forum thread up you get this message:

http://www.redhour.info/images/forums.bmp

I tried syncing the forums and updating the forums, but that didn't work.

HELP!

Upgrades help to protect your web site from vulnerabilities.

There are groups out there that compete to see who is the best at taking down websites, and who can take down the most websites per day. They look for vulnerabilities through modules, php, etc.... Recently the Adsense module had a security hole, they simply google/search for that module and start taking sites down. Zone Hhttp://www.zone-h.org/ keeps records, one group was taking down 1000 websites a day.

It may be a pain to upgrade, but it's part of what you need to do to maintain your website. If you don't maintain it and keep it up to date, you'll lose it.

Even this site has been taken down a couple of times.

Wasn't there a module out there that made your PM (private message) inbox, into an inbox and a saved outbox?

You need registration with email confirmation as a minimum to post. If that doesn't stop it, go to admin approval.

What should the read, write and exec permissions be set at for the templates_c folder?
