2. Can users on my site have their own blog?

I'd really like a definitive answer on that one two - can't seem to find anything anywhere that'll tell me

There was apparently a blogger module a year or so ago, don't know what happened to it......

no, there's a randomized thing built in to reduce the load from reprocessing it over and over. on high traffic sites it helps a lot, but if you don't get too much traffic it won't refresh often enough... it's set to refresh 10% of the time out of the box; you can change it but i can't remember how.

HTTP_REFERER difficulties

After doing some research on problems I've been having ( some users can't register or log on), I discovered that XOOPS depends on HTTP_REFERER. I've been going insane because of Xoops's apparent dependency on HTTP_REFERER. Many users (seemingly more than not) cannot register or log in because of their "Personal Firewalls" that don't send HTTP_REFERER, and it's driven many of them away.

Is there any chance that this will change? It's been the sole reason that I'm considering reverting to PostNuke, which isn't plagued by this problem...

??? Logically, it would be because of it sending all the e-mail... not much you can do about it....

Well, I don't use any of the cache features, and host my site on a server w/ 40 megs of RAM and a 133 mhz processor, without any slowdowns (but rather low traffic). XOOPS seems pretty efficient compared to the Nukes, so perhaps you have it misconfigured (try persistent connections to the database)

Thanks - did some searching on garbage collect and found the answer to my problem. Perhaps changing the probability of garbage collect being run could be integrated into the admin prefs in the future...?

Yeah, and I don't get that much traffic. I'm trying to imagine what would happen if I got any more (1683 user(s) are online? )

"Who's Online" problem

I've been having trouble with the Who's Online block. Guests seem to stay "logged in" for days, even though they're not active. It sometimes happens with the Members too; I'll leave, come back a day later, and it still marks my username as logged in but makes me a guest.
Sorry if that was confusing; it's not too easy to explain.

Is this an already reported bug, and can it be fixed?
