Thank you ever so much! And such a quick reply. I figured it was something like that but didn't know what files to give permissions too!

I am trying to add an album to my gallery and I am getting this error.
Error: Could not open lock file (/home/creativ/public_html/xoops/modules/xoopsgallery/cache/albums/album06/photos.dat.lock)!Error: Could not open lock file (/home/creativ/public_html/xoops/modules/xoopsgallery/cache/albums/album06/album.dat.lock)!Error: Could not open lock file (/home/creativ/public_html/xoops/modules/xoopsgallery/cache/albums/albumdb.dat.lock)!

I found an answer to this in the forums, but now I am not getting the error.. but I am also not getting a new album.
Now what?

I had this happen also. What I did was logon. Then I had to log on a second time and the admin link was in my USER menu. I had to switch to the user.php page to logon the second time. Once I got in I went to GROUPS and made sure the name I logged in with was set up as webmaster. All has been fine now and I don't have to do the double logon.

Thanks ever so much CBlue for taking the time to help me. I am not sure why nothing quite works but my best guess is going to be that my XOOPS is installed into a folder it's own in my root directory.

I wanted to post this here so that everyone sees how helpful you are and how patient also.

Thanks again ever so much!

You are the BEST!

Main Menu question

I customized the main menu to include 3 new links created with the tiny content module. Everything works fine unless you go into another module. For example if you go to my Gallery then use the MainMenu to go to clients the link is then xoopsgallery/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=1. You can not get back to the working MainMenu unless you go to home first. Any suggestions on what to do to fix this?

Also an idea I had was to not include the main menu on any of the pages that makes it so it doesn't work. How do I do this? I must have set it up originally to be on all pages. So I went and changed in the blocks admin to gallery page and said no for the MainMenu to show but doing that makes the MainMenu not show on all pages. Am I doing something wrong to use this other option?

Thanks everyone for helping me try to figure this out. Everything is back now and working. I was extremely frustrated and it was awesome to see you all reach out to help. Well I finally found out what was up. I mailed support at my webhost and this is what they told me. "Quote:
The issue was because of some of the errors in the /tmp partition on the server. We have corrected it and now everything is working fine.

Thanks again everyone! [quote]

Your not writing anything I already know. I am just glad you are trying to help. I guess I am not explaining myself too well. My site was completely done. Everything working fine.. all was visible everywhere no matter which type of user you were to my site. In all of the different user options I had the blocks admin full of blocks that I had set accordingly to where to be located.
Yes I uninstalled the module but nothing changed. All blocks are gone from the Block Admin section. Even system blocks which can not be removed from blocks admin.

How do I set PHP Debug on? It sounds like if it debugs and gives me some kind of error I might then have a clue what is going on.

I have selected everything for each group. (Webmaster, Registered and Anoyomus) That's not the problem. System blocks don't even show like they are turned off. And they can't be. All custom blocks are gone also. Actually in System Admin>blocks I show no blocks at all. I have even tried making a new block to see if maybe my blocks are just sleeping or something, but even the two new ones I have made are not showing.

Oddest thing to me is I still show all the modules being installed. I can go into preferences to my RandomQuotes, PiCal and such and everything still shows seperately in the Admin panel but nothing at all shows up in Block Administration. Which I know because of this is why nothing shows on my page. However downloads and links and such do show on my pages. Also if I change my starting page which I have to show NONE for the module to say NEWS it changes. I just am lost as to why it was all fine last night. I haven't made any changes but upload a module and now everything has disappeared.

I just went into Module admin page and if I submit with the modules shown installed the next pages shows the order. (0=hide) and my SYSTEM module has a 0 for order. Is this the problem?

Yes I have done all that. I had my site just a few pages from being able to take it live. But now all the blocks are not showing. Not only on the site but also in the Control Panel under Block Administration.

All blocks are missing from the Blocks Administration panel. All system, all custom, and all added modules. I have no blocks showing whatsoever in my blocks admin panel. Though on the left hand side I do have all the blocks such as PiCal and such like that which I have added to it.

I believe it is 2.0.5.1
My webhost has Fantastico and it installed it. Everything was fine but now it's not.
