I think the problem is more likely related to the fact that the linux machine is running PHP Version 4.0.6.

However, I thought I read that Version 4.05 of PHP was the minimum. Dunno..... I'll have a look now.

I had this happen also. What I did was logon. Then I had to log on a second time and the admin link was in my USER menu. I had to switch to the user.php page to logon the second time. Once I got in I went to GROUPS and made sure the name I logged in with was set up as webmaster. All has been fine now and I don't have to do the double logon.

I am also having this problem. I've turned off my firewall completely and I have globals set to on. When I try to access the admin.php it tells me I am not authorized for this area and redirects me to the index.php. I have logged in using the admin info I created during install but it gives no links to admin and won't let me in no matter what I try.

This system looks awsome. I wish I could get it going somehow :(
