Surely this is a simple redirect isn't it? Once a user logs in, use a header(redirect:) command to send the user to the page you want, provided that it's the same age every time that is.

Tell you what Hotwire, XOOPS is a lot easier to skin than PHPBB2. If you can get the hang of PHPBB, then XOOPS will be a piece of cake once you've read up on it!

Have you tried overlib.js? It's a javascript that will allow help text to be displayed when the cursor is above a certain peice of text, and is integrated with the newer versions of smarty (Which XOOPS uses).

You can download it fromhttp://www.bosrup.com/web/overlib/

It's easy to use, and won't interfere with any form structure while still allowing you to offer help text in the method you desire.

If one more person complains about this supposed "spam", I'm really going to lose my rag!

The XOOPS team tried to send you a bit of Xmas cheer - a lot of work went into it FFS. So you received a couple of emails that lost their way - so did I. Big f'ing deal. If you're that bothered, why don't you set up a message rule so that messages from xmas@xoops.org are deleted on arrival, or better still, don't get pulled from the server?

Oh... and look up the definition of spam.

Also, make sure you have selected the theme as a user selectable theme within admin -> general settings.

I like it - it's nice and clean. It's well distinguished from the original theme as well. Thumbs up.

I don't think there's currently a module to support this. This has been discussed a few times before, and so far I've only been able to come up with the follwing (pseudo) solution:

1) Client registers as a free user on your site
2) Client pays for monthly support via PayPal
3) Paypal IPN returns a script to XOOPS saying Payment has been received.
4) User is moved from standard user group to paid user group
5) Restricted areas are set to paid user group access only

I know it's not much help so far, but I will be looking into the coding of this to see how much it would take to integrate with PayPal's IPN. I'm not sure about other payment processors though.

[EDIT]

Just figured it out... somebody's tried hotlinking to a graphic in a password protected area!

--------------------------

Is it just me, or does anybody else get a password prompt when they click on this thread?

Try doing a CHMOD 777 on the new theme directory you uploaded and it's contents. If the permissions are bad you'll get a blank page like you've described.
