How about a general how to?

Hello, Im new to Xoops, and i was wondering if there was a how to for skining Xoops? or like a base theam template to start with. Iv skinned phpBB2 before and some others, but XOOPS seems to be just a little out of my reach.

Tell you what Hotwire, XOOPS is a lot easier to skin than PHPBB2. If you can get the hang of PHPBB, then XOOPS will be a piece of cake once you've read up on it!

Thanks, Im doin it right now, but im runnin' into a few problems. I cant seem to change the logo. Im using the default theam as my "Basis". I change the:

<img src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>logo.gif" width="150" height="80" alt="" />

to:

<img src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>comlogo.png" width="150" height="80" alt="" />

or:

<img src= "comlogo.png" width="150" height="80" alt="" />

But I still just get the same logo. Im I missing somthing?

Yes, I think so.

System Menu/Prefferences
General Settings

Set "Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?" to yes.

That should sort it.
