I've tried signing up at Xoopsland so that I can try one of the new themes and I never receive an activation email. Tried this three times with three different email addresses. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Mambo - Thanks for the reply. Right now, the XOOPS version is 2.0.18.1. So I'm fairly current.

The module information from xoops_version is as follows:

Quote:
$modversion['name'] = _MI_NEWBB_NAME; $modversion['version'] = 1.00; $modversion['description'] = _MI_NEWBB_DESC; $modversion['credits'] = "Kazumi Ono<br />(http://www.myweb.ne.jp/ )"; $modversion['author'] = "Original admin section (phpBB 1.4.4) by<br />The phpBB Group<br />(http://www.phpbb.com/ )<br />"; $modversion['help'] = "newbb.html"; $modversion['license'] = "GPL see LICENSE"; $modversion['official'] = 1; $modversion['image'] = "images/xoopsbb_slogo.png"; $modversion['dirname'] = "newbb";

I'm just not quite sure what I'm looking out at this point.

Thanks for any input.

Years ago, I installed a XOOPS site for my brother in law. He's enjoyed the site, however, he never really let me upgrade it very often. Now, the forums has fallen apart and he can't update anything or add anything to the forums.

Here's the puzzle. When I go in and look at the module to identify it, the module is newbb (could be cbb) version 1. In one of the files is a reference to XOOPS japan. I need to get this module updated if possible because I am getting a 500 Internal Server error when trying to update or add to the forum.

The module is located here at the bottom of the page.http://www.georgiafootballleague.com

Could someone possibly help me identify this module so I can see if there is an update? I would appreciate it.

I have moved my site to a new server that gives me the option of running PHP4 OR PHP5. I have a site that is XOOPS 2.0.18.1 RC.

I have my site running with PHP4. However, when I change it to PHP5, I get an internal server error.

Anyone have any ideas on why this would happen? I know that it's because of the server, but where would I start them looking?

Thanks!

Will this work? Even though the server is dedicated, I host client sites - not just my own.

I am feverishly trying to find out where this jerk deposited all his files. They all appear to be through any directory that has permissions of 777.

If any of the XOOPS programmers would like to see these php files, please PM me and I will be glad to show you what was done.

Most sites are current versions of Xoops, a number of them run protector, and still they were compromised. Thirteen in total.

I am going to try adding the .htacces file recommended in another post - make sure everything is current and protector is current.

This person's actions brought down two sites today which I was able to restore. However, since the PHP programs he uploaded were encrypted, I don't know what they have been doing all day.

I just found these an hour ago when I was checking out a XOOPS site and the updated the theme.

Ugh!! Any other suggestions would help. The earliest version on one of these sites is 2.0.16 and that one has protector installed too.

Thanks!

I am considering adding Yogurt to my website. I noticed that the coder is on vacation to the end of this month. Sure hope he picks this back up.

1. If you have implemented Yogurt on your site, could you please post a link to your site? I'd like to see different way this module is used.

2. Also, if you have implemented Yogurt on your site, which version is the best to use?

3. And last, what should we watch out for when implementing this module?

Any input would be very helpful!!

Moving to a new host

I host my own sites and my client's sites. And I am changing where I get my dedicated server from.

Fortunately, the current host runs cpanel and so does my new host. So I tried one of my XOOPS sites via the cpanel transfer.

Everything looked like it went OK. And since all the information is the same except for the IP address, I edited mainfile.php to use the IP/~username as the URL until I get the nameservers changed over this weekend.

After I transferred a XOOPS sites over, and verified that all the database was there and set up, edited mainfile.php - I went to run the site and all I get is "No input file specified."

The new host is running both php4 and php5 with php5 being the default. When I run the site in php4, I get the above error. When I tried php5, I get other errors which support has since fixed. Now PHP5 gives the same error.

This site is using XOOPS 2.0.16. Any suggestions on where to go from here? I need to get one site trouble free before I try and transfer my clients' sites.

Thanks!

Stefan - Thank you SO VERY MUCH! This definitely put me in the right direction. With just a little more tweaking, this new theme will be ready for the client.

As always, XOOPS members are the best!
