Re: How to customize the Contact Form?

There might be an easy way to do what you are asking, though.

If the Contact Us module is sending an email to whatever email address you have set as your Administrator account... you could edit your User Profile for Administrator to a different email address.

I guess that's one way to do it.

But, I would still get Liase because it is just that cool.

Re: How to customize the Contact Form?

Landry,
Seriously, Liase is the way to go. Very easy to install and use. Highly recommended.

In fact, in the time it takes to read this message, you could be up and running with Liase... or close to it.

This has the added benefit of making it very easy for you to add additional forms down the road for anything else you might need.

If there is a way to do what you are asking with Contact Us (and I'm sure there's a way, if you are willing to do editing and configuring)... whatever that way is likely more time consuming than simply using Liase.

Liase is one of the most polished and professional modules available for Xoops.

Pick the version of Liase that matches your version of Xoops... either for XOOPS 2.0.13 or XOOPS 2.2 (I'm still using the old XOOPS so I am unable to recommend 2.2 yet... but, anticipate doing so soon).
Download Liase

Re: Content Module Decision Question

I chose WFChannel for my content module because I find that it works well with the Koivi editor.

Koivi is a WYSIWYG editor that is cross-browser (Firefox/IE) and cross-platform (Windows/Mac Safari)... and, even more importantly in my case, creates pretty decent xhtml tags.

But, I've used all the content modules at one time or another, and I have no complaints about any of them.

Re: Need to stop pages from stretching with TinyD - can you help >?

Looks like you already found a solution by including some things (search etc.) in the right column.

If that didn't work, you could look at setting the right margin for your content or <p> tag.

Re: Copy content from a Block to a Template

Has anyone done something like this? If I'm reading the suggestions correctly, I believe that's what I already tried (see first post).

Am I using the correct terminology?

Re: Copy content from a Block to a Template

I may be using the wrong terms... I thought the Theme controls positioning, but, the templates (included with each module) control the module output.

I am trying to add the Recent Comments Block (newbb_block_new)
to the index template for newbb (newbb_index)

(Both are found in the Admin area for newbb templates).

So, I'm not trying to put this in theme.html

I've searched the FAQ and the forum, but, I don't see any related posts... anyone?

Copy content from a Block to a Template

How can I add content from a block into a template?

I am trying to add the Recent Comments Block (newbb_block_new)
to the index template for newbb (newbb_index)

Going in, I thought it would be fairly straightforward to copy and paste the block into the template. I removed the <if> and <else> clauses, since I always want it to appear, regardless of whether a block is set to visible.

However, it does not generate the content. I thought perhaps it was due to the variables still being $block. variables, so I removed the "block." prefix, with no success.

I am sure it comes down to some difference between blocks and templates that I do not yet know... but, I suspect this should be fairly easy to pull off.

(Before anyone suggests simply turning on the block to make it visible, this causes the block to appear on every post of the discussion. I only want it to appear on the discussion index page.)

Any thoughts?

Re: System templates and CSS

I will give that a try and report back. The only rationale I can come up with for why TinyConent displays properly when other module templates do not is that the TinyContent is not in a table.
