I'm currently using WFS 1.0.1 and all seems to work fine, there are a few bugs, however I believe we are close to a new release of WFS and it's just a matter of waiting, but you could try the lower version to get the feel for it.

If you require something a little less advanced then there are other modules about which could accomplish the task, including the news module, tutorials module, and many more, just try a search for content modules, section modules, etc.

you could also try looking in the weblinks section for other sites which have modules includinghttp://www.modscentral.com/xoops/

Hope this is of help.

Kind Regards

Out of interest are there any demo sites, that people can see the modulised version running on, even thought it's only 75% comp, it would still be good to see the progress.

Also have you thought about having a progress indicator like that introduced to the XMDT site, I think it was ported by Ackbar, but not 100% on that one. if you do then people can see the active progress.

Although Coppermine Gallery is still not a module over on the XoopsForge site, some one has started the project to bring coppermine to xoops, maybe worth taking a look and poss helping the dev if you can to XOOPS it, here is the link:

This can be caused by firewall and cookie settings, check out these known links for help:

http://wiki.xoops.org/wakka.php?wakka=CannotLogin

http://wiki.xoops.org/wakka.php?wakka=CannotPost

XMDT FAQ - Explanation <--- try this one.

Also a search of the forum would help a lot, there is tons of info, just try search queries like 'login problems' 'can't register' etc, etc.

Hope this helps

The search block is part of the core and can be found in the blocks admin and also you need to set permissions in the groups admin, for which or all groups to be able to view the search block.

Admin ---> system admin ---> Groups <--- set group rights.
Admin ---> system admin ---> Blocks <--- set blocks live.

Hope this helps.

You could use this kinda mod or even the MYADs mod, which is a classified listings mod, however I don't think there are any mods which would do what you wish spec. with exchange of goods. Although you could make a bit of tweaking to make it do as you wish.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

any hint where we can download that version of phpadsnew2.0?

I looked ath eteh source forge page of them. There is a new version out since a couple of days. Does that one works with XOOPS 2.04?

Is there somewhere a good manual for the management of this phpadsnew2.0?

Thanks in advance

I've not tested this mod, so I don't know a great deal, but you can download it from the following url:

WFSections website - By The One & Only Catz

Quote:
Description:
phpAdsNew is an open-source ad server, with an integrated banner management interface and tracking system for gathering statistics. With phpAdsNew you can easily rotate paid banners and your own in-house advertisements. You can even integrate banners from third party advertising companies. You can also assign custom logins to advertisers to login and review their stats.

This module will intergrate all the required SQL tables and server info used by Xoops. You’ll still need to gerate the banner code from within phpadsnew and add it to your template files in the desired positions.

How did you move that banner?

As stated above in your theme.html file there is a bit of code:

<{$xoops_banner}>

This tells XOOPS where the banner should be placed in your theme, simply move this to a location in your theme.html file and then up load and clear the cache from both templates_C and cache file, this will make it live straight away. (Remember the theme.html file of the theme you are using).

HTML can be edited with many programs, inc notpad, Dream Weaver, PHPEdit, etc, etc.

Hope this helps

I would love to see more progress with this script, espec a e-commerce option and for XOOPS 2.0.*, to to charge a handling fee like E-bay does for successfull auctions and additional features.

Excellent work keep it up.
