Just a quickie...
You can always put the XOOPS banner code to be called somewhere else....

But the kewl feature (it seems) with XOOPS banner is the client log-in feature...

Which I can't seem to get to work. And it also doesn't seem to be counting clicks!

(probably because Im using html:ie:affiliates)
But when I do use local client advertising I'd like them to log in and check their stats. Anyone have any luck with that?

Calling the XOOPS banner code elsewhere isn't the problem, being able to call a banner with the correct formating is. For example, a banner which is 450 pixels wide by 70 pixels high will be well suited to being displayed in a horizontal banner section as per the standard XOOPS banners. However, that same banner in the left or right columns in a vetical banner section won't be well suited as it'll be too wide. This is one of the advantages of phpadsnew as you can control what banner is shown where.

Yeah I get you drift. IMO: that is simply an annoying banner size. I use 125 x 60 and it works fine. You just have to put it in as html.

But that mod does sound useful, Im not trying to sound like Im against it at all. Just with all the mods available it hard to simplif sometimes

I've sent the mod to Catz so it should be up shortly.

Hi,

any hint where we can download that version of phpadsnew2.0?

I looked ath eteh source forge page of them. There is a new version out since a couple of days. Does that one works with XOOPS 2.04?

Is there somewhere a good manual for the management of this phpadsnew2.0?

Thanks in advance

I've not tested this mod, so I don't know a great deal, but you can download it from the following url:

WFSections website - By The One & Only Catz

Quote:
Description:
phpAdsNew is an open-source ad server, with an integrated banner management interface and tracking system for gathering statistics. With phpAdsNew you can easily rotate paid banners and your own in-house advertisements. You can even integrate banners from third party advertising companies. You can also assign custom logins to advertisers to login and review their stats.

This module will intergrate all the required SQL tables and server info used by Xoops. You’ll still need to gerate the banner code from within phpadsnew and add it to your template files in the desired positions.

I was wondering

In the "Edit Advertising Client" menu I have the option of entering "Client Login" and "Client Password".

But where is the client supposed to log in?

It does not work In the user login!

TO be honest I've haven't tried the client login in a long time. In the older versions you would login at the same place as the admin. You can checkout http://phpadsnew.com for more info on the software. They have a good support forum.
