It is only a policy, there is nothing in place to prevent someone from browsing offline (saving to their computer).

As far as I know there is no sure-fire way to prevent your site from being downloaded to a local computer. I suggest you use a stat program and keep an eye on your stats. You can then ban the IP. But again, this is not a sure-fire way to prevent offline browsing.

Not sure there is a 2.05, but there is a 2.0.2 that can be found here. And it does have a watermark feature

You don't need to re-do your photos when upgrading to this version. But it is strongly advised that you backup your site and database (most important) before installing the upgrade.

I have successfully upgraded from 1.1 to 2.0.2 on a couple of sites relative ease.

It works fine on one of my 2.0.15 sites. Turn on debug and see if you have any errors

Have you followed the FAQ on blank pages? Post your error message.

Also, I remember something about banning your IP in Protector...did you follow those instructions?

Try upgrading to the latest version, which is 2.57. You can find it at the developer's website.

When downloading modules, it's a good practice to visit the developer's website to check for a current version

What mail option are you using in the Mail Delivery Method (PHP mail, smtp, smtpauth)? Have you tried the other options to see if they work?

Also, do a search, as I'm sure I've seen this problem before
