Ok back to my coffee!

PS. I still am learning this program too.

That may be true, but at least you're a 12th+ level Xoopster.

Ok, the content modules will allow you to upload and wrap static html pages. You need to create a category for the pages first then assign permissions in the module admin. After that you should be able to upload html pages.

For content that your users type using XOOPS defualt text editor (or one you install) you will need to install one of these modules.

Wow, its my 400th post! When I realized I was getting close to the big 400 I was shocked. Before XOOPS I was never involved in web design. I had absolutely no experience with html, css or layout & design. Even my days of writing programs stopped over 20 years ago! So I thought this would just be a passing thing.

In the last year I have learned a lot. I remember being completely lost when first coming here. I still ask dumb questions and sometimes give wrong advice but am learning from you guys every day. This community has encouraged me to learn html, css and try my hand at php. Hopefully I'll release my first theme by end of summer and with better understanding try my hand at module building.

Anyway I am excited to be part of XOOPS and this community. I look forward to seeing what the community is doing. I enjoy the fact we have many people from different countries. We have a good community that works together to help XOOPS reach higher ground. We are all a part of XOOPS success. That's kind of cool I think.

Thank You Guys.

malexandria,

Make a complete and current backup of your entire site. That way if things get worse (yeah, probably couldn't) you'll be able to rebuild from scratch.

Check with you host to see if your db is on the same box or another. Also get your provider involved. My experience with my host is that they will often jump right in and help find a solution.

Hi guys,

CBB will mature nicely over time. IPB has a huge following and features many experienced forum mods have come to expect. Posting suggestings is a good way to make sure CBB becomes a standard people look forward to using, and the cbb team is always willing to listen to suggestions.

I am hopefull that smartsection, news, or article will some handle pdfs like a standard document rather than an attachment. Pdf's have become a huge part of everything. Having a nice way to integrate pdfs into a site would be cool.

Javalin, Madfish those examples look pretty good.
