I am not sure if anyone noticed as i mentioned above that this tends to happen on other systems on the net, not only XOOPS.

Specifically, when i was submitting an article to linuxtoday, every time i refreshed for a preview i got one more of these "/" adding up to the ones created by the previous refresh. If i did it three times it would be like this "///".

So, i don't know, maybe it has something to do with Firefox browser? Do you all use FF that experience this glitch?
Even though it sounds funny, maybe there is a chance that this is caused by the very browser. :)

Well...

Thanks
Daniel

I like b2evolution if i'd go with standalone.

Does anyone knows if it is possible and how to connect b2evolution and XOOPS so that when i make somebody a blogger he can log in just once and be logged on to b2evolution at the same time.. Maybe there's some script that makes it possible by importing the same user into both XOOPS and b2evolution databases and makes it possible that the blogger logs in to both by using just one log in form (in xoops).

As it is, i would only be able to have it as a separate site, but linked to from each other and feeding the XOOPS homepage with b2evolution RSS..

Thanks
Daniel

Thanks.. using standalone system crossed my mind, but then i would need some kind of integration between it and xoops. Bloggers would not be every member of the site, just the ones that submit for it so i make them a blogger, so this is not the main reason for the integration. The reason is that they don't have to update their avatars and settings twice ..

There should be some integration between the main site and the blogging system.

Does anyone has any recommendations?

Thank you
Daniel

I also noticed it on my site but also when submitting articles to linuxtoday.com. It seems not to be only the XOOPS problem :)

Thanks

Hello..

I searched all over xoops.org for this and i am aware about these:

weBlog - currently using it but it's a dead project and lacks more customization options

popnup blog - looks nice, i am just testing it on my site, but same as weblog it doesn't has much customization options and i don't like the oneline comments system.

wordpress - looks impressive but it doesn't seems to be even multiuser

SimpleBlog - haven't tried it yet, but i am not sure if it is even multiuser, but if you know something feel free to tell.

News module used as blog - well, it could be an option if anything else fails..

Well, now, what i want to do is enable my bloggers (so it has to be multiuser) to customize their own blogs, like change colors at least and to also be able to easily upload images and make them format as they want (so they can wrap the image into text if they want). Also, it would be great if they could be able to specify or upload the image they want to be displayed at the each entry, instead of their avatar. All in all, it could almost be like they have their own pages wrapped into my site for which they can customize the look and feel, only doing it by using the blogging interface.

Now, is there any way to do this using existing modules and how, any useful hacks? Or is there maybe a way to allow them to change the XOOPS theme but applying not only to them, but to every user that visits that blog, but not applying to the whole site, but only to that specific blog?

And is there any new blogs module i still don't know about?

Thank you very much
Daniel

This script in your mentioned article should do the trick, we use it in the newbb2 pic by pic so the site doesn´t need a hack...

I have NEWBB2 RC 1 on my site and png's still don't display correctly. I also searched for functions.php file and only found it in the module's root dir and it seems it has nothing to do with png's if i am not wrong.

Does it exists in NEWBB2 RC 1 or is it in RC2 or final?

Also, i would like to apply this to the whole site, but when i tried the koivi function it caused blank pages on my site so i had to remove it quickly..

Is there any alternative, any way of doing this safely and to apply to the whole site (XOOPS 2.0.7.3, NEWBB RC1..)

Thanks
Daniel

Man.. i know you know what i mean, but i hate those glitches..

It's so annoying to have a small problems with a big attitude.

Now, it just want listen, i specify that it doesn't show any forum (forum not selected option), but it continues to show that forum button on the article page here.
And what's the best, everything works well for other articles, just this one gives me...

And that't not all, in that particular article i simply can't get html working while it works on other articles. And i DID unchecked the option of disabling and striping html.

What the heck is that now? I use wf-sections 2.0.7 beta which showed to be much better than 2.0, until this.

Please please, if you have any idea let me know, i'd appreciate a fast reply on this.

Thank you very much!
Daniel

They don't have full acces to the module if you create a new group and specify them as privileged so that they can post entries. They however don't have module admin acces because it's still disabled for them in groups admin.

But however, i would like being able to give the freedom of further customization of their blog.

Thanks
Daniel
