Start page setting?

Hello,

Being my Top Page doesnt work as the standard user login default page I have
I have set my "Module for startpage" in preferences general settings set to my xforum module. When I logout and back in, the site randomly places me to a different page on the site. Sometimes in a subform post, sometimes an event in calendar, etc....I have all of my cache turned off on the site.

Now with the Module for startpage set, shouldnt it default for everyone logging into the website to the module that was defined for startpage? I know if I click on my home link, it does show the xforum page, but shouldnt the post login page bring up the xforum module each and every time one logs in?

Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Please note that you have also updated/added modules, so this is not the same configuration that you had with 2.5.1a.
We would need to compare the exact configuration to know if this is caused by XOOPS update, or by a module update.

I removed xortify and robot manager and my cpu is down to 0 to 16% again. Something must be wrong with the coding of those two modules. Now to figure out my extcal and theme login issue from the upgrade.

UPDATE: Copied formtextdataselect.php from my 2.5.5RC backup over to the /class/xoopsforms folder and now extcal is working again! YAY!

Re: XOOPS 2.5.5 Final Released

Besides my Extcal unable to edit and login welcome notice being a white page for quick flash before fully logged in, I have now noticed that since upgrading from 2.5.1a, my CPU has been at 83 to 100 % utilization. Prior to upgrading to 2.5.4, my processor never went over 16% utilization. What has changed that the system seems to be eating away at my CPU? My host pointed this out that made me start researching what was going on more and more.

Anyone else seeing this too?

Can you clear your sessions tables, and eventually repair/optimize your tables?

I cleared all my cache, session tables and repaired/optimized my tables. Nothing different, both IE and Firefox both take two login attempts to get in and my ExtCal still doesnt update like it did in 2.5.5RC.

I just cleared my cache and my Firefox is working fine, but in IE, it still takes two tries to login at this time.

My ExtCal still is not editable once created, but I know it was fixed in 2.5.5RC. Not sure what changed since going to FINAL....wouldnt have thought much at all!

To the problem with the firefox that you have with the login. I had this one time (Update from 2.5.4 to 2.5.5rc), i do the same as you and login with the ie9 - there it works. I logged out and use the firefox again and the problem was gone. I dont know what happend, but i know two users more they had the same problem (they upgrade from 2.4.5 to 2.5.5), but only one time! On a clean - new 2.5.5 Installation i did not see this problem again.

To the extCal problem, one user report me the same, i did not look at this time. Which version of extCal do you use?

Greets Andy

Hi jcweb,

My extcal is 2.22 and it worked fine on the RC, but once updated to final, its broken again. I'm wondering if I forgot to update something in the process since I didnt see update file in the 2.5.5rc to 2.5.5Final. I copied over all the files, cleared cache, updated protector and system.

As to the browser issue, now my firefox doube the double login and hits a page that doesnt even exist

http://www.vmoa.net/forums/gen-1-talk/electrical/nology-hotwires?/viewtopic.php?viewmode=threaded&order=ASC&topic_id=183&forum=13&move=next&topic_time=

My IE users hit ahttp://www.vmoa.net/user.php blank page and you have to go back to the root site to get it working again. The same for firefox back to the root site to work fine.

This is now acting strange!

Re: XOOPS 2.5.5 Final Released

Another issue that seems to be back is the editing of ExtCal entries. I can not update the entries. It worked with 2.5.5RC and not now since upgrading this morning.

Re: XOOPS 2.5.5 Final Released

I just upgraded from 2.5.5rc to 2.5.5Final this morning. I have noticed that when using preferred browser, FIREFOX, users must login twice. The first time kicked you back to the login screen and the second time does log you in. Internet Explorer works fine. Anyone else having this issue?

Upgraded to 2.5.5 RC and associated modules. All working fine now.
