Does anyone know if Newbb 3.08 works with 2.5.5?

Or should I upgrade to the latest beta/alpha version?
I love Xoops!

I believe 3.08 does work but the newer version should fix a lot of issues and add new stuff.

Newbb 3.08 works, thanks! Only a few problems in admin area with the GUI (which is normal with old modules).

Anyway,

I just updated my site to 2.5.5 as well. So far no big issues

Only two small ones:

When i turn on debug i see this error in the Admin Area:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in file /kernel/object.php line 239

Is this something to worry about?

Php version 5.2.6
MySQL version 5.0.51

Maybe because my PHP version is too old?

I have not noticed any problems even with this error.

The other problem I have is about CSS.

Everytime I update Xoops I need to remove the first line in xoops.css:

table {width: 100%; border-collapse:collapse; border-spacing: 0;}

Otherwise tables will have no borders.

Also this CSS problem:

fieldset { border:0;}

I must set this to border:1 everytime in xoops.css else the borders from blocks disappears then a user logging in or out.

I thought these things could be overwritten by put code it in your theme.css. But doesn't work here.
I love Xoops!

Installing in google chrome can not possible.
In a fresh install, at the "language selection" page when you click on the "next" button nothing happened. I mean it doesn't go to the next page. I cannot see any javascript or any other error.
google chrome version: 18.0.1025.162 m
Please reproduce from your end.

Edit: Install process goes well on IE 8 and FF 11

Never had this problem (in English), and I've installed XOOPS 2.5.5 tens of times.

Can somebody reproduce it on non-English site?

Mamba it is a fresh english install. I just download and upload the whole zip file to a test folder then i extract it.

To specify the issue i should explain when you type your website url and click on "Next" it doest go from "language selection" page ( install/index.php ) to "introduction" page ( install/page_start.php )
But if you type the second page manually ( install/page_start.php ) It goes well from "introduction" page ( install/page_start.php ) to the end of installation.

Edit: It goes well on another PC with the same configuration so i should investigate it more.
Any other person can reproduce it?

Re: XOOPS 2.5.5 Final Released

Besides my Extcal unable to edit and login welcome notice being a white page for quick flash before fully logged in, I have now noticed that since upgrading from 2.5.1a, my CPU has been at 83 to 100 % utilization. Prior to upgrading to 2.5.4, my processor never went over 16% utilization. What has changed that the system seems to be eating away at my CPU? My host pointed this out that made me start researching what was going on more and more.

Anyone else seeing this too?

Heavy CPU usage is a big concern even for me. My site got suspended for the same reason. I have deactivated APCAL module which seemed to be atleast part of the problem.

Now the cpu usage is down to 66% to 80% which is still too high, just my account is not getting suspended.

I am trying out extcal to replace APCAL on my site, lets see how does that go in a day or two.

Please note that you have also updated/added modules, so this is not the same configuration that you had with 2.5.1a.
We would need to compare the exact configuration to know if this is caused by XOOPS update, or by a module update.
