I may be able to offer a solution. Though, as I don't use IM, nor am interested in using it, I will not implement it.

Check out this web sitehttp://www.onlinestatus.org/. The nice thing about this solution: you can use a set of icons, with a common design, which looks better than using the propriatary icon set.

Here is a link to a site, that the previous one links to:http://onlinestatus.foxinus.cz:8085/.
There you can get the icons and HTML-snippets/code needed.

Hope this helps.

Were you able to resolve your problem?

In such situations you need to have php-debug switched on (which is done under Sys Admin -> Preferences -> General Settings), and provide others with that info, as to indicate, what might be the problem.

I had a similar issue with my Template Manager, which was due to leftover entries in the _tplset and _tplsource tables.

Just in case anyone is as colour blind (not really) as I am, there are 4 changes to be made in system_blocks.php, and 3 changes to the template file (one can easily, as I have done, oversee to change the colspan in the th-tag of the table displaying the info).

Also, if you don't see the changes, change your theme, as this will update your actuall DB file, stored under templates_c (which you need to have deleted previously, as it will only update, if a theme file is actually changed).

Thanks again smdcom.

You are right with the person who started this topic. One just has to take a look at the source code of a page, where it clearly states
Quote:

<meta name="generator" content="XOOPS" />
.

The author of the site has changed to
Quote:

<meta name="author" content="www.pemartin.com" />

which I consider justified, as the people from pematin have set up the site, and definetly have cleaned up the code of the theme (I checked). Besides, the meta-tag author is meant for the person who created a page, and not a backend system.

Maybe someone doesn't like the creators of the page, and is probably nothing but a marketing jerk, that believes they can enrage a community of smart people, by posting unfound statements.

To bad (for that person) people here verify statements

It may be a user error, but due to bad interface design, which in some way, could be seen as a meta-system-error

I would commit time to further development of a new Administration Interface, but I am far to inexperienced with XOOPS, to start a project on my own. I had contacted a person supposedly thinking and developing such, but never heard back. So if anyone knows of such a project, or wants to start one, contact me, and I will help as much as I can.

I have uploaded my copy for you, as the official link seems to be broken.

You may download phpwiki-1.3.5cvs-1.0.0.zip from here, I have tested the link and it should work.

So my lazzyness slapes me back in the face. Never the less, you are reading words of a happy man

YES, I resolved my problem. Here is the issue:

I had not uninstalled a couple of modules in a decent manager, this lead to their entries still being in the DB table _tplfile, and _tplsource.
Removing those entries resolved my template manager issues, and all is back to normal.

Hope this note helps someone, that comes across the same problem. Because then all the headackes I have felt, would be worth while. There is nothing more satisfying, than solving a problem.

Thanks for all the help.

I'm just trying to find out, why my template system ain't working anylonger (when printing out the default template list, it stops half way through, leaving me without any task options). The only post I had been able to find, that refered to a similar/same problem only got the advice to reinstall.
Reinstallation is for MSWin. In an OS product, I want to find out, what and why something has happened, so that I can tune it to my needs, and get problems fixed. Not having to hope for someone to do so for me.

Here's what I have done. I deleted all folders, and copied them back from a working installation, deleted all files in template_c and cache, cleaned up obsolete entries in the DB tables block_module_link, modules, new blocks created.

The only tables I couldn't/haven't yet analysid thoroughly is the tplsource table - HORROR! But after all I've been through, I am pretty sure, that this will be the place for me to find my error causing freak.

I am just hopeing, somehow could give me a quick pointer. I am learning a lot on the way, but I just hate stumbling around, in an area I don't know!
