Is there a new module to support latest Zen-cart (v1.3.9h)http://www.zen-cart.com/

or is it possible to integrate Zen cart as a separate installation to Xoops (different folder on the same server) so that the xoops users can use the zen cart store without a separate login on zen cart?

I would like to know how difficult it is to take the new zen cart module and convert it into a xoops module. I belive this will be a continues challenge every time zen-cart release a new version. So it would be ideal, if we could sync (by simultaneously creating the user on the other system) the users on the zen cart or xoops.

Any comments or view.

Thanks for your response guys.

From my requirement point of view. In my website, i am using a customised kshop module to display aquatic species. the database could grow up to 2000 species ( maximum). so a seach as you type could help the visitor.

you can see the module here

I guess this applies to all e-commerce website who are selliing a wider product range.

I was just wondering, if it can be developed as an optional module or so.

Now I am thinking to use Lexikon module and list all species in that list. it not the ideal solution however it will be bit easier to search.

Once again thanks for you help. It's always a pleasure to discuss tipics in Xoops forum.

you may try to use any e-commerce module with out the price.
you do need to some customisation.

I have customised kshop module to display some product/species at mysite here.

however, any customisation will need extra development and testing effort.

Good Luck.

Hi,

I am just wondering, if Xoops has any plan to implement Search-as-you-Type on it's search option. It is available on some of the website for example Google search.

i am not sure what technology they are using or how difficult it would be to implement it on xoops. However it will be really good to see this on xoops core search module.

I was thinking of using the Jscript used in Xoops Admin module. I am not sure if its creates any overheads or security threats to xoops core.

I am not a php developer but got an idea on css/js/html, Hopefully i will have my site updated in next 3 weeks.
