Banner Advertisements Help

Ok, so I looked at "Php AddsNew" but it does offer any payment methods.

I'm looking for a simple module that allows people to pay using Paypal and be able to upload their banner to have on my site.

Is there anything that does this?

It seems ridiculous that there are no banner advertisement systems. For some sites this is the ONLY source of revenue.

It would seem like a necessity for any CMS to have this type of module.

Re: Wiki based module descriptions.

Thank you for the update. I'm glad to see these changes made and hopefully it helps with the repository management.

I appreciate your work and hopefully your personal problems have been resolved.

Re: Packaging Xoops Install with pre-installed modules?

Sorry for the double post. Not sure how that happened and for some reason I can't delete my own posts.

So please use this as the main thread.

Packaging Xoops Install with pre-installed modules?

I am currently working on developing a XOOPS module. Is there any way to offer a full XOOPS download with a module already preinstalled?

Meaning you don't have to go into the admin area and activate the module. After the installation the module will simply be already activated.

a USEABLE e-mail module.

While WebmailFX is promising it does not work unless you actually use CPanel.

This makes no sense since you can't even use it as a POP3 e-mail client.

I am looking for something that lets you simply sign in and check your e-mail from my website. This is especially helpful if you have multiple e-mail accounts and are looking to just be able to check it from 1.

Either that or an e-mail client with ISPConfig support.

Re: CPanel - Plesk - Open Source Alternative

I have been using ISPConfig for over 1 year now.

They have unbelievable support and great howto's. This is the ONLY hosting admin solution I would recommend.

Re: Wiki based module descriptions.

Couldn't you simply use a wiki module and have then users e-mail the download. Then the administrator could add the link to the wiki once it is approved.

Then you could develop or add to the wiki module to make uploads automatic pending approval through the wiki itself.

Wiki based module descriptions.

While I understand and support better descriptions for the modules. I do not understand why a Wiki based system for module description is not used.

For example:
Users would be able to submit an updated description of a module themselves directly from the module repository. While there might be more than one description users which are flagged as having downloaded the module can vote on which description most accurately describes it.

This would be a much simpler system and would drastically cut down on administrator work load. However, admins can have authority to approve/deny submitted descriptions.

A decent locale date/time clock.

I found this on Joomla:

http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,1870/Itemid,35/

Is there any thing that compares to it on the XOOPS site? I have tried looking. If not how easy/hard is it to convert something from Joomla to Xoops. A flash clock seems like it should not be too difficult.
