hi there,

I have just a couple of questions regarding the Search function in Xoops.

I have read this thread... "https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=457&com_id=16156&com_rootid=16086&com_mode=thread&#comment16156"
................which is about cleaning up the search results. I have followed all the instructions, and it works, but the module titles are all still there. This still makes the search results look a little messy.

Is there a way to clean up the search results completely, so that only the results are displayed (unless there are no results)

Also, Is there a way I can have a search box that searches both my site and Google?

Thanks for anyones help! Rob B

Alright DT,

I think there is a thread I followed to do this, have a read of this....

https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=366

(I think you go to admin, system admin, templates.. or something or other).

Alright there,

Im a noob myself, but I think you are talking about the new members block, to remove the date you can go to blocks, choose edit new members block, then edit template and remove <{$user.joindate}>.

I might however have been no help at all!

Hi there,

I get a message appear whenever I log in as admin, it doesnt appear to effect anything, except as soon as I log in it says....

" Warning: Unknown(): A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time. in Unknown on line 0 "

I then have to load a seperate browser window to access the admin pages.

Has anyone got any ideas what this message could mean or how to remove it?

(im running XOOPS 2.0.6 on Windows 2003 with IIS 6)

Cheers,
Rob B

I really like the xoops.org forum style,
is it available as a module and if so...
Which one is it?

Cheers,

Rob

Hi Roberot,

I use XT_conteudo for my content,
but you dont use it for menus.

Download a module called Multimenu (available through this site). There may even be better modules available...

Its great, you can have menu's and submenu's, then you just link the menu buttons to the pages created by XT_conteudo.

You can use the blocks section to decide where the menus are displayed and who is allowed to see them,

wf-downloads permissions not working

If i go to the main wf-download page logged in as admin I get all the categories (little floppy disk icons) with all the files in. However, if I am logged in as anyone else I dont!

I go to wf-downloads admin and and set the category permissions to ALL for all users, then click submit, this however unselects all the File permissions for all users, I then select ALL file permissions for all user but this then unselects all the Category permissions. Can anyone help me, admin works fine but any other user has problems - If category permissions is set to all then the user can see the floppies but there are no files available for them to access, but if they have acces to ALL file permissions they are unable to see any of the categories?!

Is this a bug, im using 2.0.5a (even though XOOPS 2.0.6 thinks that the version on WF-downloads is 2.0.4!) and I have tried re-installing the module - but the same problem occurs!

Im at a loss here for any explanation - any help would be great!
Im using windows 2003 server with IIS 6 and php 4.3.10

Cheers,
Rob B

Hi there,

yes, It is already switched on and as far as i can tell there are no errors, I dont get any problems when I upload images and everything else seems to work so well but none of the seperate image blocks work,
So frustrated - reckon it could be some thing to do with iis as i never had any problems on the old server running apache
