Multi-form Contacts - is there one?

I'm building a site that needs to have several different forms accessible for uploading to host server. Each form would have mostly unique information.

The Contact_Plus module would work, if you could have a way to provide multiple forms. The Contact_Plus does allow creation and editing of the contact form, which is the basic tool needed.

Basically the module needs to allow the user to select 1 of about 5 forms for submittal/upload to the server. There is some common information on each form, but there more unique information to each respective form.

Hope I explained it...LOL

Regardless, any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

I think a Gallery program may be a little overkill, and there can be issues with people uploading stuff onto your server.

I'd suggest having a screenshots thread on your forums, and let the users provide a URL to the graphics.

If you don't mind users uploading to your site, then 4Images is a great tool. Other users can even download the pictures or associated files from 4Image if allowed.

I'm putting up a site for a real estate broker this coming week. I need a good content module. I see there are several for download, but I've not had a chance to test any.

I'd appreciate comments or suggestions, but mostly recommendations.

I'd appreciate any recommendations on tools for developing mods in Xoops.

I've got the whole MSFT Visual Studio.net, but I'm thinking I should be looking for a PHP editor or editor with a good IDE.

Any suggestions or recommendations welcome.

Here is something available for IBP forums, which is PHP.

CLICK to MOD for Invision Boards - Search Engine friendly URLs

This would probably just be a Hack for Xoops, but it shouldn't be as tough as a Forum. The page urls would just be altered one time, since they're mostly built one time only.

Ideas on Graphics Server side tools

I've built my own local server (MiniServer) for running and testing sites on my own machine.

I am including a 4Images or Gallery module in one. 4ImaGES requires server side graphic tools, either one of the following two:

GD Graphics Site

IMAGEMAGICK

I just like to get some recommendations on each if possible to decide, which is probably the better tool. ALso, if there are any possible problems installing on a local server setup.

---------------
I've determined the Imagemagick is the better choice because the GD doesn't support GIFs. Heck, I can't build anything w/o GIFs.

I'll just have to deal with any ImageMagick issues...LOL

---------------

It might help if someone could share where to best install the Imagemagick for best use on the local server (miniserver).

Any suggestions are comments would be appreciated

Need info on "Fast loading & refreshing Xoops themes"

I'd appreciate any links or resources for XOOPS themes that are fast loading, with few gifs, and Jpg files.

I realize banners maybe cause for slower refresh. This site runs pretty darn fast, but the colors are a little too serious for my apps.

Thought I'd respond to my own posting, maybe this can help someone else.

When I reboot I still continue to get the same issues, except when I altered one file a bit, and changed things procedurally.

I opened the Start.bat in the miniserver core, edited and saved file after changing the line with subst %disk% /d to subst %disk% /D (lowercase d to uppercase D)

Procedurally

I turned off my virus scan completely.

I went into the miniserver core folder and opened the START.BAT first.

I got a popup box that says "W/The server working on the disk w:\[http/127.0.0.1/a/]", which indicates the Apache is running. **IMPORTANT** do not close this popup, minimize it only. If you close it, it turns off the Apache.

I next moved over in the miniserver core folder and opened the Start.vbs. This brings up the Miniserver control screen. I then click on "Run MySQL Server"

I then pointed to myhttp://localhost/xoops folder and it brings up my XOOPS homepage.

Note: I have all my files from the HTML folder from the XOOPS install package ver 2.0.5.2 installed in W:/WWW/Xoops folder.

A few things of interest...

If you click on the Start.bat file and the popup flicks on the screen and doesn't stay you'll have to reboot and start over. Someone may have some ideas on this, but I'm just rebooting.

When I shut down I use the /localhost/a/ miniserver control screen and click on the The server shut down (lower right corner) which is supposed to shut down the apache and the MySql, which appears to be the case.

It would appear that - In order to get the server back up again without a reboot you've got to make sure the MySQL and Apache Server are shutdown.

After you do a clean shutdown of the server from the Miniserver control screen you can go back into the core folder of the miniserver click on Start.bat again and it will restart the server.
