I had the same problem using spaw with wfchannel. There's even an option in one of the admin panels to use spaw if installed, but for some reason it didn't work. At the time I was messing with it, it was really late and I just kinda put it on the back burner. I think theres some hacks that you have to make to the modules. Did you read ALL the readme files?

I don't know about uploads, but my users seem to enjoy the stuff from FreeGaming.de.

You can register on MadCycles.us and see it run. It's also available on www.triangle-computer.com once you have registerd. Look for "games" and "videos" in the community menus's after you have registered.

The zip files for XOOPS can be found at FreeGaming.de

Hope this helps!

A little more investigation reveals that it's mostly the USA Today feeds that are having that "more..." problem.

Trouble with Headlines

Greetings all and my best wishes for this new year,

I'm having a bit of trouble with the Headlines module. Activated it through admin panel and everything works fine except that when viewing certain feeds (like the USA Today rss feed) the more button at the end of a summery generates errors. The Headline above the paragraph summary can be clicked and all works well. Just that nagging little "more..." button at the end of the paragraph on each summery is not working.

I tried chmod 777 for the directorys in that module and there was no change.

Even tried changing to a different headlines module. I installed XHLD 2.8 and darnit, same thing happened.

If anyone has a suggestion I'd love to hear it.

The problem area is Triangle-Computer.com.

Thanks,
--terrion

jdseymour, You DA MAN!

Being new to Xoops, PHP and mySQL I was hunting around for a couple hours trying to find that, and man, you got me right to the color constant that needed to be changed.

Thanks so much. In the short time I've been expirementing with, and now Working with Xoops, I just am constantly overwhelmed by the generosity of the people, like you, who are the XOOPS Community.

Thanks again for your help. Got a nice little shade of blue for my catagories and titles that works well with this theme.

My best wishes to you and yours, always,

Trouble with News Module Titles not showing up.

Good Evening everybody,

I've got a weird problem with my News Module. I can see the catagory selection box, and the pull down menu for the number of items to be displayed.

What's not showing up is the Catagory and Title of the news item.

However, when I mouse over where the catagory and title should be, both show up in red for as long as my mouse pointer is there.

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. I'm using the alightFC theme, which I love dearly.

The web sites address is www.Triangle-Computer.com, should anyone want to stop by and take a look at this anomaly.

Thanks in advance,
--Terrion

I use the Xoops Backup 2.16 module. I've set my preferences to just push down the zip file. Works great and has already really saved my butt once.

Hey, just in case I haven't told you or anyone else today, "I LOVE XOOOOOOOOOOPS!" And yes, thats how I think it should be spelled from now on.

Now that I got that off my chest, having reinstalled XOOPS from the ground up using the latest "stable release," 7.2.3 I think, while in the forum I have all red X's inside boxes instead of the emoticons we all love.

I've tried copying XOOPS fresh on top of the one that was there origionally just in case it was a FTP snafu, but no luck.

Here's a screenshot of the newBB editor I'm having trouble with.

I'd appreciate any help.
Most Festive Cheers to you all!

Some time back I saw a post on how to comment out a few lines to disable the popups while in the administration panel. Anyone know how to do that off the top of their head? My searches haven't turned up much, but I know it's here somewhere.
